Brothers Callum and Jake Robinson, along with Jack Carter Rhoad, were murdered last week while on a surfing trip in Mexico. MORE: www.cbs8.com/article/news/loc...
They lost their lives cuz they airheads who tried to party and their drug deal went south. It had nothing to do w/a robbery -- that`s a BS explanation made up to hide the fact that these richboys liked to party and do drugs.
It’s not Mexico in general but to places no one goes. I live in Mexico and do not travel by car. Always by plane and stay in places where the locals live.
Wrong narrative. Period. Constant wrong way drivers, senseless homeless attacks, dui murders. Uber assault killings, school shootings, church shootings, concert massacres, the list goes onnnn and onnnn in the lovely USA🤷🏻♂️
It`s just the consequence of being stupid and trying to score white powders from sketchy peeps -- it had NOTHING to do with any carjacking. But no loss, yuppie airheads are a dime a dozen
I really don’t know how these parents are strong enough to go through this. You’ve got to know the child you raised and knew from birth for 30 or so years is just gone, wiped out, so many memories, moments, everything. Just gone. 😢
Once they go home they will fall apart again....then the difficult part begins when they have to live everyday with the constant heartbreak and pain day after day and year after year and the pain never gets any easier
These brothers must have a very strong bond. They enjoyed their lives together and departed together. I feel so sad for their parents as I can see them in my parents' shoes when my brother was gone.
I don't think they have any other siblings either......Losing one of your kids is one thing but if they have siblings then the parents try to go on, seeing their other grown children then marry and have grandchildren.....These guys has no children or siblings and so there are no future generations of this family......That would be the hardest part.
Oh god, this hits home massively. I myself was an Australian backpacker living in Ocean Beach between 2002 - 2004. First living in the OB Hostel, then up in an apartment in Lotus Street with a tonne of other Aussies, Kiwis, Brits, Spaniards etc. OB was my local surf break and I used to take weekend surf trips down between Rosarito and Ensenada just like these boys did. Now 20 years later and the father of two young kids myself, my heart just goes out to all these families. You shouldn’t have to bury your kids because of a surf trip.
I stayed at OB hostel! Back in 2010. Oh the memories…I ended up getting a motel apartment opposite the crystal pier in PB for a while. Met so many of the surf community.
You should teach your kids to not try n buy drugs off sketchy peeps u don`t know and I mention this because this situation was NOT an attempted robbery as the yuppie family want you to believe. All these guys were airhead surfers who like 2 party and do lines and the fact that their family tries to hide this is pretty pathetic. When your stupid, the consequences are fatal. I`ve been to Mexico twice, once to Mexico City and another time to Isla de Mujeres and since I knew the language, locals did`nt see me as an arrogant tourist.
@@firenze5555 Those same issues happen here. Go try vacation in the bad parts of Detroit or in NYC. It`s no different. Are ya gonna move outta the US because of the violence of certain cities? No? Well, it`s the same in Mexico where not all places have crime although many do, one just has to do the research and these guys were killed for being airheads trying to score white powder from sketchy peeps. It had NOTHING to do with it being a carjacking--that is a false narrative pushed by their yuppie families that don`t want the world to know they died being druggies tryin` 2 score. #TellLikeItIs!
This is so devastating, senseless and heart wrenching. I was in Mexico when this happened. All I could think about while I sat in the Mexican airport was that these poor parents were having to make the worst trip of their lives. You never think it can happen to you, but it can. It definitely makes me think twice, and I can’t see myself going there again. My prayers are with the families. I hope one day they can find peace in their lives again. I don’t know if it’s possible, but I really hope they can all heal.
They know they were murdered. You don't have to remind everyone... there's no mystery, south of the border is incredibly dangerous and people still don't understand why the USA needs strict laws with illegals
And it happens because they were stupid. This was NOT an attempted robbery as their yuppie parents want you to think. This was a drug deal gone bad because one of the suspects detained that had a phone of one of the surfers also had a big bag of some kinda white powder and this kinda shit happens to yuppie airheads that go vacation expecting the poor peeps there to bend down to their every need and am sure they did`nt even do any research about the region b4 going there.
What`s PATHETIC about those parents is how they HIDE the REAL reason for their deaths, which was that their deaths were a result of a drug deal gone bad because that woman that was detained having 1 of their phones also had a big bag of some kinda white powder and that 1 pic of one of those surfers shows him wearing a shirt of some shrooms so ya know they were druggies that liked to party.
You have no idea what you are talking about mate. I knew Jake he was a doctor in western Australia and was the kindest soul. more likely the cartel were wanting them to transport drugs to the US they refused and were executed. Mexico trying to cover this up
I find the whole truck theft theory to be suspicious. Why did the killers burn the truck? And what about the rancher that owned the land that surfers often paid a low fee to camp on? His body was found down that well too and he was reported missing a week before the three surfers were reported missing. Was he killed for his vehicle too? Why was the rancher mentioned a couple of times at the point the well and bodies were found and then never again? I think that the killers had connections that the Mexican authorities are very interested in keeping from coming to light.
yep totally agree I asked about the 4th victim to here in Australia they only mentioned it once or twice, its weird how not long after they were found arrests are made, I hope the truth eventually comes out for the victims families
Theres a new groyp of people ,,charging fees,,specially if you re coming from another country,,and if you dont want to pay ,,you better just go,,dont get into a problem.,even people from another states in México are coming to this area and finding out about this problem,,where it used to be free to camp,,now thugs are taking over,,
As a Southern Californian that spent a lot of time in Baja over the last 40+ years this story breaks my heart and infuriates me. I stopped going to Mexico ten years ago because I saw that it was increasingly unsafe. Mind you it was always somewhat unsafe and while fortunately I wasn’t taken advantage of I know many people that were. What’s happened in recent years with cartel violence makes Mexico off limits. I have told my kids to please not go Baja and to be very careful when going to Cabo.
Devastating. I cannot imagine going through what these lovely people are dealing with. I pray they are supported and lifted in the days to come. There is no justice for this loss, no matter the outcome. My heart is hurting for this family.
I just can't fathom the amount of pains, struggles and anger you go through ! I pray for your comfort and healing as you mourn your beloved sons ! God bless 💔
With all respect given here, the title given as "surfers" stereotypes these beautiful young men as, just, surfers. As an Australian, who has a family member who knew one of the Robinson brothers, they were so much more! They were smart, talented, high achieving, good, very decent young men, who did not deserve this. My heart is with their loved ones.
😢❤very sad watching the parents talking about there sons it broke my heart they were in the prime of there lives enjoying there passion surfing. We are all feeling your pain the whole world is. God bless you both. ❤
It's absolutely amazing that their Mom after such a tragedy finds heart and courage to encourage others to live brighter and love harder.... amazing people! I wish this didn't happen to them!
I don't think these guys were poor . One of the brothers was a doctor in Australia. This isn't about a cheap holiday. Pretty sure the older brother was going to live in San Diego
For family and friends..my deepest condolences.. senseless murders. Rip young men surf the clouds..condolences for the family of man found with them..such tradegy...😢
So very sorry about the terrible loss! Cant imagine the depth of this painful situation!! May God grant comfort to the hearts of the parents and loved ones!!❤
I have seen the news and I have the impression is all about the two Australian brothers they hardly mention the American guy that is also dead, I have noticed also that the section were you can comment about the two brothers has being blocked too.
They are pathetic for trying to hide why their kids REALLY died which was because they were tryin` to score drugs off of sketchy people. That carjacking narrative is a total lie.
Our Australian young people love travel and adventure. The biggest danger for surfers in Western Australia are the Great White Sharks. RIP mighty brothers. Surrounding the family with love.
Well, regardless where u are from, if u are a dumbf**k, privileged airhead that expects the world to bend down to you and you try to buy drugs off peeps u don`t know, u might get fuct up. It`s common sense and it blows me away sometimes how these yuppie foos don`t know those kinda things. And no worries, privileged airheads are a dime a dozen Lol
You Cannot Help But Cry Inside And Out Side When The Waves Of Tears That Carry The Grief The Sadness The Heart Ache And Heart Break And Emotional Sense Of Loss Meet In The Middle It Becomes Such Huge Out Pouring Of Love .... Rest In Peace Big Guys ..... Such A Tragedy That Will Never Be Forgotten All Around The World 🩵🩵🩵🌟🌟🌟
Over a truck. Mexico is a place where some folks will kill you for your last dollar. Most folks I've met in Mexico are very good. But there are some muy mal hombres too. RIP peace fellows you will be missed
@@Chuck-yt7iq this is what I believe as well, something doesn't add up, really feel 4 the parents of the 3 guys, there will be a lot of sadness when the 2 guys come home here, losing both sons is uncomrihendable truely shattering, as well for the parents of their American friend, its just horrible
To the parents, family and friends of all 3 lost surfers. I did not know these young men personally but I learned to love them from media reports. I have followed the daily news. I am very sorry for this senseless crime. My sincere condolences to you. May they each Rest in Peace eternally. May their memories be a blessing. ❤️💔
Americans have always had nothing but contempt towards us Mexicans. It’s a historic attitude. They can’t help but treat others with arrogance, ignorance and hubris. Mexico isn’t a failure. In any case this tragedy should never have happened and Mexicans are reeling with pain at the loss of people who only wanted to enjoy our beaches and surf in peace. I genuinely hope the people that are responsible are held accountable.
These parents are PATHETIC for hiding the TRUE reason their kids died. It had NOTHING to do w/a carjacking but was the result of a drug deal gone bad in doing business w/sketchy peeps. The yuppie parents just don`t want the world to think of their kids as the druggie partyers they were.
@@nillyk5671 since I was a kid born in Nicaragua I remember people always telling us not to go to Mexico bec ause is full of criminals. this was in the 70's back in Nicaragua
@@normasolis8808 I understand it’s not for everyone going over there because the media does make it seem like it’s extremely dangerous but I’ve meet some of the most amazing and most kind hearted people out there and now in days that’s rare to find in the United States
Actually I was thinking about that. There are many reasons according to my research. 1. Its less crowded beaches and baja does have great waves according to surfers Maybe location? 2. Cheaper 3. Cheap drugs not as severe penalties if caught in Mex vs USA. The most disturbing to me 4. Some of these surfers like the danger aspect of Mexico. Its like a thrill even though there are warnings about certain areas these surfers find it "exciting" I was very confused and perplexed as to why someone would think that's a plus. I read some gave stories of danger yet they still CHOOSE to go back!!! Many said they will still go even after the death of these surfers WTF!! Only thing I can think of is people find it thrilling like climbing mount everest or rock climbing people die all the time doing those crazy things (death wish). My guess is surfers dont just like the thrill of the waves and maybe the geolocation as its "brave" to be in a dangerous location of the country. Its very bizarre and I still dont get it but I was shocked that its intriguing to them or at least thrilling.
The story is the Australian brothers may have naively tried to fight back, it's the Aussie way not to give up...and the accused may not do things rationally when trying to do a random tyre-jacking after the killings as was a drug dealer...
Very sad for these boys and their loved ones. I live in Perth. They seem such bright young men with so much goodness great future ahead and so much to live for. Jake was in the same profession as me and could have been one of my students. Never knew them but my heart breaks. The thugs who did that not only took 3 innocent lives but they caused so much pain and suffering for so many people they will pay a high price for the bad deeds
This is certainly terrible but seriously why go to Mexico to surf? Australia has way better beaches and waves. And so does San Diego!! And better food, lodging, hotter women.
So sad. Big shout out to there families. I want to say this. I am white and i work in San Diego. Ive been going down to Tijuana for 16 years and have had alot of fun. This is rare. The people ive met in Mexico have been very nice. And ive always had so much fun in Mexico. Its sad to read the hateful comments people are posting about Mexico.
