Herod has quickly become my favorite. Know it’s marketed to men, but as a woman, I think it can truly be considered unisex. I wear it day & night - sophisticated during the day, and super cozy when I slip under my duvet at night. When I consider all of the individual descriptors you mention, it doesn’t sound like me at all. But combined, it makes me feel super sexy & like I’m really making a statement. Definitely not for a shy woman.
They do smell amazing-- I just wish they'd last longer or even project really good. The longevity has declined since the 2021 reformulation, which is quite disappointing. But there are definitely better options out there at that price point.

Parfums de Marly has REFORMULATED Herod. I own an older formulation which has an alcohol concentration of 78%. The new formulation I see in stores has 81% alcohol. My formulation is a dark orange / amber color. The new formulation is a very light, faint orange in color. The new formulation does not last as long and it smells different. Parfums de Marly fragrances are ALWAYS getting reformulated and become much weaker than their ORIGINAL releases. Parfums de Marly HAS NOT been transparent when it comes to the reformulation of their fragrances. Carlisle, Layton & Oajan have also been reformulated and have 3%-4% more alcohol in newer batches.
Herod became my absolute favorite over night. Some people complain that the silage is not very good and it doesn’t last on their skin. This radiates off of mine, I have a second backup bottle on the way. My new signature scent

Hi, Sandra ! Order in !!! Ive tried a few of your recommendations and haven't been disappointed. (Boss Private Accord is the bomb ! ) Sweet, warm sexy, rich frags are my faves. Just received Layton - intoxicating and narcotic. Hope Herod is just as good. Reviews have been over the moon ! I think longevity criticisms may be due , in part , to nose blindness. With strong(er) frags, I stay away from sprays that are too close to my nose . That way, I catch whiffs for hours !
Hi Paul! So happy to hear that the recommendations has been good, I´m sure you´ll love Herod. Its such an amazing scent, it doesn´t perform beastmode but it has a good performance, over average at least. Great thing to not spray strong fragrances near your face, I´ll copy you on that, brilliant!
Perfect description of Herod, Sandra. I just picked up a bottle last week after having a travel vial for a while. Sophisticated is the correct term and has slowly become my favorite PDM. 👍👍
I think its really good, projects well for about 4 hours on me then you have to get closer to get so much of it. But apparently a previous formulation should be better than this one. I have only had the one that is on the market now and i think the scent and the performance is worth the expensive price.
