Hey guys! I’m Tiff - a lover of food, travel, and good vibes. After traveling to Italy when I was 16, I made a promise to myself that I would live abroad before I was 30. And I made it happen! In 2017, I tapped out of my PR girl lifestyle to pursue my MBA in Paris. Yes, Paris! Jumping out of my comfort zone and moving to Paris, was the scariest thing that I’ve done in life thus far, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. This channel is my outlet for sharing more about my life abroad and the life lessons learned along the way.

I really liked it. Just a few ideas for outside the box topics that your audience might appreciate: a visit to the catacombs, to the Musée de Cluny, to the Galeries Lafayette to show the glass ceiling, to the opera (I'm pretty sure there are backstage visits)... Also if you're interested in exploring that in videos, there is a lot of African-American history in Paris dating back from the 19th century that doesn't get enough attention, including artists and intellectuals from the Harlem Renaissance period who moved to Paris, and performers who made it their home for a while (Duke Ellington, Josephine Baker, Nina Simone...).

Wow!! I am surprised to see people back to normal during this pandemic. France must have gotten it together real quick!! Awesome vlog and great to see life in Paris. My goal is travel to Paris in a few years, fingers crossed. I wish things were okay in the U.S. In the United States, people are still are going around without masks and social distancing. Our Covid 19 infections and deaths are sky high and getting worse every day. I am in Michigan and one bar in East Lansing, Michigan is responsible for 161 (yes, 161) Covid 19 cases alone. It is beyond horrible and sad here.

@@ss2short I used to live in france and still have friends there. They locked down quick hard and long. They were only allowed to go to the grocery store and limited other places with masks. The national military police policed the streets and you had to show your national papers, and only one person per car one person per family could be out. They locked down longer and harder than we did in the US.

I totally agree. I am in Chicago and it is crazy how America has treated this whole thing. It's depressing in a way to see other countries going back to normal while we are suffering so bad, but it also gives me hope to know that IT IS POSSIBLE!!!!

The citizens play a role in the too. Even without a nationwide lockdown, idiots refused to have the common sense to wear masks in public places, and stay the hell home. American’s obsession with Bar-Be-Queuing, crowding bad beaches, and piling up Walmart’s is the root to the spread.....

I cannot believe you waited so long! Everyone waiting on those lines have more patience than I’ll ever have. 2 hrs?! Naaah. At that point I would go to a grocery store, shop for a picnic ,get some blankets, and have a seat in the park.

You can still do it with kids. I used to think the same way. I realized that it was my thinking of "I can't do it because I have kids" what was stopping me. I guess everyone's situation is different but think of the reasons why you think you can't do it and possible solutions.

Wow. Knowing she opened the restaurant during the lockdown is just an indication that the pandemic has its good side as well. It just started a whole business for some people. It's not bad here like it is in the states! We were on a crazy strict lockdown for 3 months, had to carry a signed document around if we even left the house to get groceries it was crazy strict which I think helped a lot! Merciii for the love, more vlogs coming soon! :)

I'm French, left Paris last August and now living close to the French Riviera. Hats off for wearing a mask!! Several of my friends sent me videos of Paris for the music festival (fête de la musique) on the 21st of June and WOW!! I think people are cray cray in Paris and other big cities to be going out without masks and not keeping their distances like Corona has gone outside for a minute whilst we are holding its beer...Here in the small city where I live people are very serious about masks and social distancing. Most supermarkets you won't get admittance to if you're not wearing a mask AND sanitize your hands at the automatic dispenser before getting in. I think we shall wait and see what happens in the next few weeks as a consequence of such reckless behaviours... Also a lot of carefree Parisians are coming here for their holiday and you can spot them immediately in the crowds (no masks and very impatient)....You're doing well with French: speaking as often as possible is the best way to improve. I'll give you one "pointer" if I may: we do not pronounce the last letter in most words in French. For example you said "/ʒuːs/" or JUSS for juice and we say "/ʒuː/" or JU. Xx

@@ItaintmeCCC No, we were on a strict lockdown and it only just eased up gradually. People worked from home for 3 months. When socialising, people are not wearing masks religiously like they we're a few weeks ago, I still wear mine though. You have to wear a mask in shops and every shop has hand sanitiser at the entrance.

it really depends, I usually wear my mask but not when I'm outside with my friends. I put it in the common spaces when I'm at work or in stores when shopping. It's still mandatory in public transports.

I'm new to the channel but absolutely loving these videos. All of those little boutiques are amazing and that brunch spot really has the right idea about running a business which is partly the ability to adapt. Also really admire you practicing your French with local native speakers. I know that is one of the best ways to learn, but I think it takes a certain amount of courage and letting go of self-consciousness still.

Well done on the French, I've been in Paris for over a year and my French is virtually non-existent. I used to work at Republique up until a few weeks ago and season was a lunch break fave of mine, their pancakes are sooooo good.. I find many French people say they don't speak English well, they actually do. Summer in Paris is magical. I love London in the summer too, but London's my home town so the rest of the year, I want out lol.

Bonjour Tiffanie I don’t know how I found your you tube channel. It was truly accidental, am I fglad !! I have always wanted to go to London and Paris and finally did on my 60th birthday. Since then I have been following bloggers from Paris. Then I found you. Your videos are so inspiring . It gives African Americans like yourself hope that they too can live abroad. Oooh je suis super contente de tomber sur ta chaîne ! Quand tu as brunché à Immersion, j'y étais aussi avec mon petit copain (à quelques tables de toi) et on t'a vu vlogger !
