Any thoughts on if it would be worth upgrading to the Opera View Room? I have the standard king room but I received a upgrade option with my confirmation email. The upgrade is $160 per night. It looks like most rooms have a view of the Sydney Opera House so it may not be worth the extra money.

The Shangdi LA in Sydney is very good as well, with an even better view!

This is true. Shangri La Hotel Sydney has even better views than Park Hyatt Sydney. But both hotels are great

Sydney Opera House looks far better from a distance, then it does when you get near to it. It where all grubby when I went, could do with a lick of paint over it.
