Many of you know my old boat, a Sea Vee 310B was bought by the owner of this beautiful 2017 Parker 2801, Andy.

Having a Parker pilot house, I can tell you they do everything well. And are some of the most solid boats on the water. Sweet ride.

The foward seating is actually great for fishing lol. Especially if you cast plugs, fish bent butts from the gunnel in the bow, or need extra storage

I like the forward seating and fish box on my 23SE. Great casting platform and big enough to hold 45 inch cobia.

I don’t mind the seating i never used the bow to fish anyways. Got a dual console instead for extra shade and element protection.

From my experience on various parkers they are kidney killers and usually a wet ride

Awesome boat! I’m curious why did he buy the Seavee if he already had the Parker? Seems redundant is there anything about the Parker’s ride that may have caused him to get a deeper deadrise of the seavee

The Sea Vee is a COMPLETELY different boat. Much heavier and solid in the rough stuff. Not that the Parker is bad but it's not apples to apples

Well im guessing he likes the seavee vrs the parker. You should do a review of his seavee and ask him what he likes about it vrs the parker.

Both boats are actually too much for him. He’s going to downsize to what we think will be a brand new Bluewater 25.

Those boats are not 100 percent composite. They use wood. Also my experience is they ride rough in chop. But it sure looks nice.

I have a 27 Cape Horn with forward seating. All the fishing happens on the side by the helm and the back of the boat. I don’t fish more than 5 people and it’s way more than enough space. No one tripping, no tangling, and my girl is happy when she has a good spot to sit away from the fishing. Happy wife happy life, she loves the ocean so really had no choice. No seating in a boat fucking sucks when coming in from 70-100 miles offshore. People bring beanbags but then need to store them when they stop and start fishing. There’s plenty of benefits from forward seating and a couple of bad thing. I prefer the seating since I don’t use the front of my boat. I never use my anchor so it’s not a problem.

Nothing wrong with the Simrad. Yes, but tide was too low and hauler was afraid to launch there so we moved on to Manhasset. Sharp eye there!

I like Parkers but no in floor fishbox? Hard pass. The latest trend of larger loungers in front of the console solved the problem of no front seating for my wife.
