Imagine you pass by this gold mine everyday on your way to work, if you're lucky to find work, where you are only making the equivalent to 250$ USD per month. As long as there is extreme poverty living next to a million dollar gold mine that barely regulates the area, you should just expect this to happen. There are far worse law breakers in peru doing much more damage to society then some silly ass illegal mining

I think thats because parker recognizes the hard work they are doing. There is a reason why it's illegal, but at the same time they have no other way to put food on the table, and parker sees that.

I have been to this part of Peru... These people are not starving... there is food literally everywhere that drops on the ground for free. Plants, fruit, wild hogs, all sorts of game animals... In fact by strip mining the jungle they are destroying their own free sources of food...

The problem is the amount of work. The TV show can't express how much work is actually involved. It's constant problems, and most people go broke doing it.

Hey at least they are doing what they have to in THIER OWN country instead of going and ruining another one. This is why they need to stand up against their government and fix the issues. I guarantee there isn’t enough government to fend off the people that truly LOVE their country. And that’s how it should be fix your country don’t go to another one and expect a free ride like they get now. Free houses free debit cards with money every month free medical free vehicles etc. While the natural born suffer. It’s pathetic.
