While digging the new tailings pond, Parker realises it's full of un-mined gold, so cancels scheduled days off to mine it. Subscribe to Discovery UK for more great clips: ru-vid.com_c... Follow Discovery UK on Twitter: / discoveryuk
I can't imagine how hard it is for a man to be spoken down to by a kid who barely has a fraction of the knowledge that he himself has. Hunter does not have a clue how much knowledge and experience a man like Juan has accumulated over his lifetime. For him to speak to the man like that shows both ignorance and arrogance.
@@martinpecheur8506 Your right, the drama is largely scripted, though there are surely authentic interactions between the crew members during filming and I believe this is likely one of them. They really are mining for gold and aside from the money each member is paid per episode, they really are trying to make money from this venture. It is a lot of work and I am sure mistakes can irritate each other. Judging by Juan's response, I think this one was real.
I went to High School with Hunter, lets just say he definitely has a "daddy's cash" mentality that gets the better of him. He knows he can say whatever he wants and it doesn't matter cuz his dad is rich and he'll never get him in trouble for it.
Wow the Hoffman’s are way away from there goal haha sounds like season one . Then Parker keeps getting bigger n better kids smart he knows what he’s dping
Yet another reason I wouldn’t want to work on his crew, not only does he not hold his word or respect his land owner, but he doesn’t respect his employees
money is money my dude and you gotta be an asshole to make the bucks and i know there is ways to go about your employees but at end of the day he running a business not a day care.
@@roidnerd2501 Agreed. He could give out the promised days off and go bankrupt. Then everyone will be out of a job. Parker's main goal is to keep the company running.
@@kevinliang9502 his main goal is to find more gold so he feels glover to gramps. hes an ass because he hurts and only feels better when he gets more gold
To be honest you really don't want "time off" when your up there mining. You only have a certain time frame to get all the mining for the season done with and can't waste anytime.
All these things people are saying are ridiculous. Parker's giving them a shot with his resources and for this kind of opportunity sometimes your required to do more, it just depends on what you want I've seen fisherman put up with worse for a lot less it's not Parker that needs to grow up it's those that think because they know something or have skills there boss shouldn't ask any sacrifice out of them or think they should tell the boss of anything new their doing if they are getting payed that much they have to decide if their pride can handle it or if in the end it will all be worth it.
Yep. Having a self mobile wash plant and an auto-conveyor feeder would be incredibly efficient. No dump trucks running pay. Walk the wash plant to the cut, walk the conveyor down into the cut and bam, you are running the wash plant and digging the cut out simultaneously with one excavator. You also need a tailings conveyor that automatically moves back and forth horizontally to disperse the tailings without need of a loader. Of course you still have to have a dozer ahead of you clearing ground. Seems like this would be the ideal set up for any small scale placer mine.
@@VagueMemory having it mobile would be great for moving it when setting up, but once its setup moving it's a bad idea unless you first clean out the sluice boxes as any vibration in those will cost you gold. You'd also need to constantly be moving your tailings water channel, your fresh water input and your large tailings pile, it becomes alot of work keeping that water access available, and should it go wrong you risk flooding the cut. Better to have a single central location were you can control everything, and just have trucks moving back and forward.
Don't mind Hoffman that much I just think he's not always making the best choices. HOWEVER Parker needs to just keep his goony ass up north. If he tries to move into Colorado I think I'll have a breakdown. Lol.
I didn't talk to my co workers and peers at 18 that way. Always let my work do the talking, always have always will. Some kids are unfortunately raised silver spoon in hand.
hence why he delivers bad news to his foreman jumps right in his truck and runs away. doesn't like - talk to the guys whose day off he is taking away and feel them out about it. if you piss off your entire crew it isn't worth it over even a large issue. people really underestimate morale. if morale was high, most people would be fine with losing a day off. morale will not be high if you don't even ask them if they are cool with it though. the simple gesture of asking goes a LOOOONG way
A good boss leads by example and not bark orders, I have been in both foreman and boss positions and I'm always the 1st on and last off site, extra hours needed by others should always be rewarded and always show gratitude. If your staff feel appreciated and when your in a tight spot they will go the extra mile for you. Sometimes you may not make the $ you wanted then but keeping a good, organised crew will make more $ in the long term.
Right. I'm hoping to show everybody how cost effective they are, NOT. 2 men 1 wash plant and 1 excavator to feed is all you really need. Way less moving parts to fail while washing gravel for gold and much higher profit margin. Don't have to answer to MSAHA. Trapper Scotty, Fairbanks Alaska
Whait, let me get this straight, Parker gets upset with tony for telling him how it is even though it hurts Parker’s plans,,, but Parker can tell his guys I’m taking away your scheduled time off and hurt their plans? No problem when the shoe is on the other foot. Parker has big plans so he hurts his underlings to get it done, tony has big plans and he hurts Parker to get it done,,,, what’s the difference? Parker’s a sniveling little girl that needs to grow the hell up and put on his big boy britches... I really can’t stand that coyote
@@AaronJ323 1:08 They literally say "That reclamation is already going on" After the mining operation has been packed up, it's actually the responsibility of the mining company to rebuild the land for wildlife habitation. Most of the time, topsoil is left on top of the old operation to allow grass and plants to grow, other mining companies contract planting operations to plant trees over the old operation.
You actually think the owners of mining operations plant trees on reclamation sites? They may have a few more things on their plate and might be a tad busy to do that. The whole reclamation project may well be hired out to a reclamation company.
@@Weldor123 No they don't. It's not a full reclamation which they claim. And some of the " ponds" just dry up cause they have no source of water. I've been there and you can tell it's not an actual reclamation
WAY IT LOOKS TO ME THEY SHOULD FIRE HALF OF TODD'S CREW THEN LET TALK ABOUT PARKER HE IS ON A HOT SPOT PROMISE THE CREW A BONUS IF HIS CREW BEATS TODD'S
Unfortunate that some worship, not God, but rather gold. My, how they turn on each other over greed. If not careful, the Beast himself will have them all kneeling before him….soon. Sad😞❤️🙏 He’s more real than we are😐
I can’t stand hunter he’s just a brat bossing his dads workers like he’s a real boss if I worked for Todd I would get fired for beating up hunter then Parker will hire me lol
@@wq198mnr I notice that often. A person thinks they found a comment people will like and they post it on every video they go to, often trying to seem as if they just thought of it lol.
How so? As far as I know, they legally have to do land reclamation. I don't know if it involves anything more than using some equipment to spread all of the material back out but it still requires time, fuel and equipment usage, which is not free. They would have to also load the overburden onto trucks and haul it where it is needed to cover the entire mined area. I have seen land that was was previously mined years before and it is was flourishing well. As long as the overburden is spread out on top of the tailings, there is soil for vegetation to return. So what do you believe the issue is here.
Love it how these guys are whining about working nonstop for 5 months.... Join the military for barely minimum wage, and work nonstop for 12 straight in 130 degree heat. Sitting on their ass and operating heavy equipment and getting payed tens of thousands of dollars.
