Thank you for this video. I just bought a pair of the Allen Stitchdown in Clover Kudu. I bought the pair almost on a whim due to wanting a quality pair of boots in Kudu and I really liked the look of these. Since this model quickly sells out I bought mine without doing much research. I love this pair and just like with my other Parkhurst Allens, they fit my feet perfectly. For what really matters to me, I think these boots are every bit as good as the Vibergs I own. Your video really explained very well the new stitchdown model and partnership with the factory in Portugal rather than the one in Spain. I'm really happy that Parkhurst is experimenting with new methods and partnerships all while maintaining the high quality I have come to expect after owning one pair of their boots and two pairs of their shoes!

Thanks for the shout out, mate. Good video as usual. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this stitchdown project lands. I wish I'd gotten one of these samples when I had the chance!

I really like those. I am going to buy a pair if the production model is even close to this look. Excellent review as always.

I’m really trying to stop buying more boots, and to focus on beating up the ones I already have. I’m focusing specific on my GS Badelassi saddle tan Diesels (yes their creasing is quite pipey), GS British tan cap toe boots, and Viberg Cypress tan. Thinking of wearing each for a week straight, and alternating like that. The British tan in particular are stern as Lucifer. I like that Parkhurst is taking aim at PNW boots here. I love my Niagara’s, exceptional boots, great company. Cheers!

Teik great video as usual. I have the same Parkhurst stichdown model too. This model will be a great addition to the Parkhurst full-time lineup. I'm glad you explained why these were made in Portugal. I am very happy with the boots from the Spanish factory. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this model. One person even asked me if they were White's boots.

Thanks for mentioning the sizing with this boot. It's very confusing. I'll be buying another pair when they are officially released too.

Really glad to see you covering Parkhurst. It's still a brand very few seem to discuss or know about. I love my Parkhurst Camel Kudu boots and I'm just waiting for Andrew to offer more unique leathers/styles for me to grab a second pair. These double stitchdown look nice but I'm not sure they're unique enough to add to my collection and I think I prefer the sleeker allen/richmond toe. I'd love to see more richmond made in kudu, moose, mohawk, etc. and I might finally pickup a pair of spruce kudu if those come back.

The sizing on my pair has always felt quite large. I grabbed a pair in size 9, a half size down from my usual 9.5 in Parkhurst. They feel like they might still be a full size too large. I ended up throwing a pair of Wicket & Craig Burgundy double stuff kilties from Nicks in mine early on which helped take up some of the extra volume. I'm still thinking about adding a leather insole as well. Despite the sizing quirks they are still one of my most comfortable pairs of boots and I love the leather. It's quite water resistant with all of the oils and waxes in the tannage. I find myself wearing them on wet days like today and they just shrug off the rain unlike some of my other veg tan boots like natural Dublin where I need to check the weather in the morning before I wear them! The creasing on my left boot looks just like yours but the right boot has very tight grain break across the toe even after almost four months.

I really like that model - more so than the standard Allen. It looks in general style and shape very much like my Viberg 2030's - but with extra ruggedness that is very attractive. Not sure about the way the leather creases/rolls (loose grain or not?) but if/when it comes out I will be looking closely at the pricing for a black leather variant.

I've seen this model now released on the Parkhurst website. So disappointed ... they seem to have adjusted the last to create a much more almond shaped toe. In particular there seems to be a real angle from the little-toe / outside edge of the ball of the foot towards the toe box. I have to say I much prefer the development model with a slightly more rounded toe. That style I think suits the more rugged look with the lugged sole. Not sure that I would purchase this model as it looks now, even though I loved the pair that you reviewed a couple of weeks ago. Still waiting for that perfect balance of style and ruggedness ...

I really like this boot. I usually avoid double stitchdown boots because I dislike the super wide flared out regions. This boot looks to have better proportions.

Still hoping I can get my hands on a spruce kudu Allen boot. They always sell out in minutes.

I was able to order a spruce kudu boot yesterday! Let's hope they fit well.

So this is the new 618 last, but I think the final version is also slightly different with a narrower toe vs what you have. The volume seems to be lower than the 602 last as well. Interested to know your thoughts! The tempesti cognac veg tan looks great, but I already have the grant stone diesel saddle tan, they look too similar😂

The color is quite similar, but they are very different. Minerva has a waxier smoother feel and is much stiffer.

@kingofthenoobs thanks. I'm waiting for the Friday drop with more options for the 618 last, if nothing new interests me I will likely grab the tempesti cognac pair.

My 602M are way more comfortable and fit better than my Viberg 2030s. Andrew is very cool also.

I dont think that's loose grain. It's just grain break. And not even a bad one at that. Your badalassi carlos are much worse, shoe trees will help to manage the creases. My saddle tan right boot also has worse creasing than the left.
