Funny thing Omar says at 9:10 about setting up the city just for parkour. They actually do set it up specifically for pilgrims or runners to have better traversal around the city while delivering packages or getting around town
yeah. as you do missions and give certain sections of the city to different factions, you can unlock new ways to parkour throughout Villedor. such as the two-way ziplines, drop bags, and trampolines. it really fleshes out the freerunning.
I'm sorryyy for blowing out the mics from all my screaming but I couldn't contain myself 😅😂 I get very excited about this stuff if you can't tell. Also, Sara and my friendship dynamic is clearly getting too hilarious to control. We are having way too good of a time making these fun episodes. THANK YOU for always being so awesome!!! ❤️
You guys should react to this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gKlOt40kVM8.html the player has all the skills unlocked and knows how to use them well
Do you know this - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dNgCP9CG8u8.html , ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--t459P30ZCM.html - There is lot of his work, but easy chaining of moves are designers choice, also in 11:16 the change of mve direction is encheve true use of hangin wires (yeah and it makes other issues).
2:10 That's literally a mechanic in the game. :) It's called dash and it lets you speed up for a moment. You can use it whenever, but obviously the intended and most common use for it is to get a boost near a ledge for that extra leap distance just as you said.
Shame. There a lot of other mini skills that would better represent the games parkour mechanics I’m sure they would’ve appreciated more. Glad they got see it though.
even with everything that was shown here, there is a lot more parkour stunts that could've been shown off. there are large swaths of the city that have very natural paths that feel incredible to run through. and the grappling hook as well manages to add on even more depth (while also adding in ways to cheese the game a little bit.)
what Zaki is explaining at 2:25 does exist in game, its an unlockable skill that gives you a boost by pressing L3. I use it exactly as he explains, wait until you are near an edge or near a wall and press L3 to get a boost by draining stamina.
“Dying Light 1 wasn’t very good and it didn’t meet our expectations” Because you were shown footage that was created by someone who not only didn’t have a single parkour skill in the game unlocked like *rolling*, but he played video games for the first time and was fumbling around like a newborn child. For Pete’s sake please react to DL1 footage where it’s actually good, every fan of the game worth their salt was triggered by the footage as much as you guys were.
@@ciberzombiegaming8207 all of that is stil pretty basic really, you cant even wall run horizontally and the tic tac is more of a detriment than anything since it glitches out too much and doesnt work a lot, the parkour is all basic vaults and jumps with the slide being situational, nothing tricky or difficult.
4:55 Keep in mind that, at least from my experience with the first game (my laptop definitely cannot handle the second but I assume it works the same way) the roll is an active skill that the player has to manually trigger, not a passive that automatically negates injuries from falls. It is very possible for the player to miss the roll and end up falling flat on his face if not timed properly
The thing about dying light 2 is that David Bell did all of the parkour moves for the game, David Bell was the person who invented parkour so it would make sense that he was picked for dying light 2 team because he invented it back in like 1990 or 1980 somewhere around there.
Man, I know a lot of people hate on dying light 2, but the parkour system is so much fun in that game! I would spend hours just running around the city having fun doing parkour.
@@shotgunchin1014 Mostly review bombers. Some people complain about a lot of things in the game. Some people say the parkour feels too "floaty" but they're going from dl1 where the gravity was like 4x earth's gravity, and they're forgetting forgetting Aiden had experiments done on him making him a lot stronger than normal humans. Also people complain the game focuses too much on humans over zombies, but I think they fail to realize the biggest threat in a zombie apocalypse is actually other humans.
I feel like they should react to the new update, Physical mode changes a lot the parkour gameplay, oh and please get good gameplay not someone who is new to the game.
At 8:34 he says something about a uv shroom these are used for aidens immunity because at the start of the game he gets bitten and a Uv light will raise the immunity bar
I love watching people react to this game but your 2 reactions are so lively everyone else goes, oh cool, oh wow, that’s cool, you guys have the best reactions
I really like this format, but it would be cool, if you maybe could also inform them a little. like when he talked about doing an extra boost towards ledges, which is an actual skill in the game. you can tell them afterwards of course.
A few things he can do like the far jumps and the questionable impacts are because he is super human so he is a lot stronger and agile than the average survivor/human but the physics breaking mid air turns have no excuse lol
There is a voice line in dying light 1 when crane (the protagonist) lands in a trashcan (for a first time i think but not too sure) ,,i just know one time i will land on a bag of rusty knifes"
I would LOVE to see you two do a playthrough of this game. The parkour, once you get a lot of the skills unlocked, can get pretty nutty and unrealistic, but it gets SUPER fun.
0:49 the clips they showed you were of a beginner level player, if you could see the maxed player, you'd know there are rolls too haha great vid, nonetheless
6:30 ye, they did that for the aesthetics so you can see the hands and feel like you are balancing instead of not being able to know that you are cause you dont see your arms while spreading them
In PE in high school they brought in a parkour instructor for a day and we learned vaults and rolls. I already had learned rolls and some vaults in martial arts but it was fun having something like that in school
Little did they know that the UV shroomz are just a consumable version of the UV light, the lower the immunity gets, the player will turn into that one funny zombie.
Some of these things that Aiden which is the character you play in dying light two is able to do is available because of his now technically superhero ish Powers that he ended up getting in when his blood ended up getting infused with the Apex predator or what is known as the volatile
2:20 there’s a skill where you can boost your speed temporarily when climbing or jumping on ledges and even when your running you press the sprint boost button and you gain a small burst of speed
at 11:15 he didn't shift to the side in the air, it's hard to spot because of how quick it happens but he lands on the wires which allowed him to go to the roof looking like a mid air turn
Please have them react to the animated movie called Bubble. It's on Netflix and has plenty of cool parkour moves in it, while also being pleasing to the eyes.
People have been saying the same things in the comments that I was saying after every criticism (there wasn’t many)…. The reason Aiden is so strong and so fast is because 1, he was involved in experiments that heighten his abilities. 2, he is infected and is part volatile.
its worth noting in June or July they're gonna be "improving parkour flow", whatever that means... so the might be changing some animations, it's probably be worth it to check it again later
1 thing Aiden is Superhuman he just better I guess its the game 2 the foottage aiden aint Level max with perks so the good skills arent realy shown there like so many that are insane like bouncing on a enemys head to go up 3 around 3:00 its said that Aiden should run faster before jumping so it looks better but he does with a skill 4 the survivors have so many cool things 2 ways ziplines Airbags that literly got mentioned and a lot more wish a bit more Faction gameplay would be there too
On one hand they'd see Aiden do a lot more stuff but by the time you've got all the parkour skills the things you can do go way outside of the sort of realism they seem to expect from some enhanced inhuman parkouring super soldier. Which is wild. Its not just that it's a video game it's the premise of the game.
Wish Gamology would get people that have max level stats and are really good at parkour in dying light 2 to record the gameplay instead of some low leveled newbie :(
Also if you didn't know, the Dying Light 2 character is different from the first Dying Light character, DL1's character died, even if he was alive. He would be in his possible 50s or more.
The trampoline, zip lines, punching bags and all the parkour equipment was pit there by survivors if you give them water towers and power atations. Like coconut simp said the protagonist is mutated, but in the original game crane (the protagonist of the original game) is just a regular dude and I agree that what he does doesn't have a explanation to how strong he is.
80% of people or videos I've seen use the ParaGlider wrong, or never show the full use of it.. first off it's all about height to aquire distance... holding L1(ps) or your Block button is also your brakes..doing this over a vent will allow you to shoot straight up instead of forward giving you maximum height, even more when you apply boost at the peak of your vent boost.. before releasing L1.. you can brake and boost and if timed right maneuver in all type of ways. .you can paraglide down an elevator shaft when holding L1.. or just as you run out of sky-stamina, applying your breaks will have you glide straight down nice and slow instead of a crash fall... I haven't seen one video applying any of these mechanics
Omar and Sara if you are still here you need to watch a parkour sequence with the music the game provides, it adapts a bit to what you are doing and I feel you would appreciate it
Ik this is old but you said that they could make it so when your at a edge your character speeds up, there’s a skill called dart when your character sprints and can make a jump further then the default
The made several updates since an they really listened to everyone, cause the stuff they say to fix is fixed, I've played since release so ik everything they've changed an most they talked snout in this video is fixed.
It's actually great that DL2 is better in parkour since kyle crane (DL protagonist) was literally a newbie. He doesn't know parkour at the beginning while DL 2 protagonist is already an expert.
something that changed a lot was the animations the problem is that for parkour there is no momentum and each animation already have set speed that slows movement a lot
Hey Parkour guys keep in mind this character is not Crain its someone else and he was experimented on and they enhanced him so basically he is superhuman and the uv shrooms are mutated mushrooms that acts like the sun so that his infection doesn't max out so understand the lore of the story because this parkour is accurate in the characters case sooooo yeah keep that in mind guys
i cant wait until the beast dlc comes out playing as kyle crane again when he's pretty much a super human and yes they obviously don't realize aiden isn't a normal human not only is he infected but is a super human from the experiments
the thing about Aiden (the main character) is that he got tested on as a child so he's naturally stronger and faster. also I think the more you level up your character the more realistic it becomes and at the same times it becomes less realistic
cant imagine their reaction for expert parkour in dying light 2 i mean you can do very unrealystic things like you can just go flying with paraglider or hook that high you couldn't even imagine doing in real life or any other pro moves in this game (like when you've played 700 hours you know every move every hack in parkour etc)
