@@bruno-orante Thanks for the nice thoughts but God is not the sugarplum fairy sprinkling gifts on people because others asked. God does not violate the free will he created us with. And Satan doesn't care about whether something he does makes someone seem holier - as long as that person does not realize their need to trust Jesus Christ alone for their eternal life. I am not Catholic, but love what we have learned from the early church and that the Roman Catholic Church is very slow to change its doctrine. I love Franciscan Theology, it makes a lot of sense to me. Protestant churches change much to easily and try to be “trendy.” With that said, I was raised Lutheran, attend Lutheran and we were encouraged to question, with the knowledge and faith that the Holy Spirit would lead us to sufficient answers. I must say, that I have always been deconstructing my beliefs and to this point the Spirit has never let me down. My Faith has always grown and been strengthened. Sometimes it’s scary, but we all must pass through the wilderness from time to time. I have found that through deconstruction, l still believe the foundational tenets, but often in a new way. NDEs are to me proof of a greater consciousness, who we call God, who is the Father, and we do return to Him, if we allow ourselves to trust in Him. I love Father Spitzer!

Kay Ivy - it means the soul isn’t blind and that what is, is the physical body. There’s no healing of the body and the body doesn’t go anywhere but to the grave; it disintegrates, and the souls goes on continues to learn while living other lives. In my opinion.

I once read an excerpt from an ER nurse, and she stated that the majority of NDE's from just resuscitated individuals were negative. They were terrified. It's most likely many people having negative experiences repress the memory. My own grandfather, who was resuscitated, experienced hell.

That is truly great news about teaching this in Ireland. I was in Medjugorje in November and I was very impressed at how many devout Irish people I met. So many reasons why the faith seemed to vanish in Ireland, but please God it will come back stronger than ever. Perhaps smaller, but stronger. I saw a video of Irish Bishops (I think in Knock) they all had face muzzles on and at Communion they all sat on their fat ****s and had EMs give communion and only in the hand. Even some children - often touted as the best source of unbiased information - sometimes return from "death" CLAIMING THEY WERE GREETED IN THE OTHER WORLD by STILL LIVING TEACHERS, and NINTENDO CHARACTERS, and COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS. If encounters with conscious plants, talking insects, roosters, and turtles, doesn’t give you pause about NDEs, perhaps NDEs THAT INCLUDE ENCOUNTERS WITH FICTIONAL CHARACTERS WILL. Melvin Morse reports that a 10-year-old boy had an NDE where he ENCOUNTERED A VIDEO-GAMING WIZARD who loved Nintendo. Dr. Richard Eby had an NDE and allegedly Jesus told him he had to back, and that he (Jesus) would be returning (2nd coming) before he died permanently. BUT DR. The Mapuche people of South America and residents of Hawaii are more likely to SEE LANDSCAPES AND VOLCANOES, whereas NDEs in Thailand rarely involve landmarks, tunnels, or light. @@Sunfloweraugust Hi Anna. I can't believe there's not more hellish NDE's to be honest. Goes to show, Love conquers all. I believe it's the fear that is bestowed onto people through religion. Fear is so powerful in Islam and Christianity. One is brought up in it. 'Believe or ELSE' an everlasting, eternal hell of.... Satan, Demons & Devils keep the faithful honest and committed. That's why, if this was true and real, we should be seeing this a lot! We don't. Instead, we see in NDE's an overall theme of extraordinary, overabundance of love & free will. Being that our spiritual cords have not yet been cut, one brings that fear of hell and negativity to the other side, till they are shown, they have free will to choose. Is this the life YOU created in that fear, or do you want to choose something that you we're destined for? If the number of NDE's is true. 100's of millions/billions worldwide, it's pretty safe to assume, we all will pass with similar experiences of love and free will. Why I had to leave Christianity. Greyson observes that THOSE PROTOTYPICAL EXPERIENCES ARE USUALLY DESCRIBED BY PEOPLE RAISED IN A CULTURE THAT MIGHT EXPECT THEM, but not from anyone else. A larger percentage of the negative experiences are described as a "black void". A terrifying experience to some people, BUT SOME HINDUS AND BUDDHISTS EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING AND CONSIDER IT A BLISSFUL EXPERIENCE.

The phenomenon we call "ghosts" includes a range of manifestations. However evidence requires going where it leads, and in the case of ghosts it's fair to say it's more complicated than presented. Catholics often had blessings performed on houses they moved into, which suggests a belief in psychic residues rather than full possessions or vexation. I suspect individual priests are more openminded about what those represent, and whether they are lingering spirits of the deceased unable to move on, some kind of historical recording a susceptible individual is picking up on, or the numerous other possibilities ghosts and apparitions represent. I always thought the demonic interpretation for all such phenomena was more of a protestant notion than Catholic.
