@@sidthixaychoummanivong5643 our game is lagging a lot though but yeah he's easy to parry and dodge edit- my game is not lagging anymore or stuttering. It's pretty smooth with medium graphics but 30 fps though. But I'm content with it.
I dont say for sure since i dont have her yet, but there is sort of a timer between pressing the intro skill to when it actually does damage due to animation the issue could you that you are hitting the intro skill right when the parry window is opened but due to the start up delay by design, you miss the window barly so it wouldnt parry. i have the same problem with my yangyang, so i just time it the parry window with my intro skill taking in account of the delay. also you have to face the boss to parry it, so you cant parry when the dmg is dealt from behind the boss or too much from the sides. hope that helps!
Honestly, yes. When I tell myself to focus, and look at the boss more than I look at the character and effects, I actually focus more. Otherwise I'm just vibing and pressing buttons.
over all, especially during holograms. once you understand how the boss attacks and how fast the parry circles move, you get a rough feel of when you should be attacking. So you really only stare at the circles when you are just trying to figure out how the boss works.
I love Genshin's fighting mechanics since it was easy to understand and all but it was frustrating at times since the enemy can freaking push you around and when they are already dead the animation or remnants is acting like a wall for a brief moment then when I tried WUWA's fighting mechanics it was freaking great since you can actually counter the enemy without any special characters abilities just pure skills is enough Genshin - Build some damage and you don't need skill to defeat an enemy WUWA - You just need a skill and it will be enough I don't really wanna compare the 2 games but I can't help myself 😆
the damage you do when you dodge counter some high lvl monster is also very high. like the time I tried to fight a lvl 120 bear, I can only dish out like 20-50 dmg with normal attack... but 7-8k with dodge counter.
The problem is not genshin’s combat system. Elemental reactions are actually a great to play and theorycraft. The problem is that there isn’t challenging enough content to put those tc skills to use, since most of the enemies just flop dead with a single yelan E skill. I’m enjoying wuwa and i enjoy genshin too but i wish it had harder content to put my builds to use since it took me so long to get them to be that good
I love this game,timing window is so similar to monster hunter. I used to be a big sweat in that game. Any type of attack, skill, ult, intro outro, and echo also parry as well
Good video! Afaik the only ranged characters that cant parry are pistol users. But even then iirc Mortefi's ult had a parry window (the cast animation). It's a lot weirder than parrying with a sword character.
Nice qol stuff with the poise meter and animation cancel actually XD I also love it that certain character can only parry stuff when it make sense. Still waiting for the beta invite but no news for me till this time.

My biggest problem with trying to parry is I'm so often out of range because the boss back-dashes before they attack, making it impossible to hit them before it's too late.
As a Mortefi main (yes, on field main DPS Mortefi) I assumed I was just lagging for my first few days until someone finally told me that guns can't parry. Now that I've been playing more Danjin and Jiyan, I've been getting better, but usually when I fight overworld bosses I just stay out of range and chip away at them with Mortefi, ignoring all of their attacks and breaking their toughness with his Skill, Echo Skill, or Verina's intro skill. For fights with a time limit this will help me a lot.
When you are animation locked to parry propertly, I just change character, you do an animation cancel with the current character, and the entering character starts with N1, making it a parry, it works even with intro bar, that way you dont lose damage because you can E and change again to keep the chain or combo you were doing with the initial character.
Because I have to play on the lowest graphic I can't see the second circle so idk what the timing of parry. I just spam normal attack when I see the circle. 80% of the time it's a fail. Dodging is also not the best option because my FPS is below 30 and the delay of my input is like .5 seconds later
It still CBT and here we already have a nice tutorial, i really have high hope for wuwa One thing, and this might be help if you wanna get a gist of how the combat works for ppl who doesn't get the CBT. Try playing PGR, the combat mechanics are quite similar since it comes from the same developer. Maybe PGR is actually a bit harder than wuwa, idk. I don't get the CBT GLHF
Y'all for people who transitioned from shitty device with lag spikes to a device capable of running it very well, did dodging and parry became much easier to perform without trying too hard to catch the window.
Verina can parry with all her attacks, this includes her basic attacks. Her attacks are ranged, but they are considered full hitboxes. So verina CAN parry with her basic attacks, with her E and her charged. Verina is built different.
the simplest method is when you attack with the first character and you see the window where you can counter, you just change the character and do this 1 attack 😅
As someone who plays a lot of OSU, keep in mind if your ping is high you absolutely have to click before the outer circle meets the inner circle. If you click when the circles meet you will miss the parry.
U can actually parry with characters like Verina using their normals. I’ve done it before (by pure monkey), but u have to react even quicker since ur hit aint gonna register as quick as a fist. But like, only try this if yk the boss’s moveset.
There are exceptions, for example if you hold down aa for Verina or QTE she charges at the target so you can parry with that, but most of the time you cannot get a parry
I’m not good at parrying but I had a fucking lucky ass god mode moment where I quick dogged and parried by spamming the doge and attack buttons all by pure luck, and on top of that it sounded the mf I would have died if it didn’t do that

Some outro does damage and some buffs for example you get 10% bonus basic Atk dmg for 15 seconds for the character after the outro skill when you trigger it
What's the timing like on characters like Yinlin or Baizhi since they can still parry but it only seems to happen to me sometimes (is this like the Verina showcase of needing to be in melee type range)
Attempted to do this with this boss, but it's just impossible for me. Tried my lvl 60 vs the lvl75 in the Depths of Illusive Realm and he's just all over the place, only a narrow window to hit the parry and he hits super hard. If I cannot overpower him with just a stat check then I can't defeat him.
When you say “auto attack” do you mean basic attack? Because you also refer to a basic attack. I have never seen any of my characters attack automatically.
Can you do a parry showcase vs Scar? His grabs are so weird, istg. Its like he completes the grab before the parry window opens 😢😢😢 i couldnt get parries aganist his stupid grabs at all
Idk if you’re joking or not but I’m gonna say it I honestly don’t why people call it auto attack When he says auto attack he referring to your normal attack There are no automatic features in the game Again I have no clue why people call normal attacks auto attacks
