Yeah ive noticed that low impact weapons like rapier bug out the riposte. I think the window for a riposte is extremely tiny vs low impact weapons and with a little server ping it makes it very very hard to riposte in time and you just end up spamming block instead

you can reposte it but its not worth it as its very hard and they are usually pretty squishy

im pretty sure it does, never experimented with it

Perfect block is useless. It only works if they hit your sword like in a regular parry and you can't riposte off of it

It’s still a work in progress class, has lots of potential but is pretty weak at the moment. Bard was the same on release and now that its finished its one of the best classes, so in due time itll be very good

Yessirrrr, glad to be back

at the time taunt was 15% physical damage reduction, now it is 10%. I used it with Barricade which gave 15% but is now nerfed to 50 armor rating. The idea was to get 60% damage reduction, then with taunt + barricade i would be at 90% and i could be almost unkillable when blocking and i could just go for a Parry without fear of taking alot of damage. the build still works but nowhere near as strong as it was also i still had sprint, i replaced second wind with taunt. Wasnt very good then, even worse now but it was fun for longsword parry

Ill take that if its means I can roll over geared players in normal goblin caves since I find that the more annoying aspect right now

opponents that are thirsty for a riposte are the easiest kills, just get right in their face and hit their legs/under their riposte. riposte has a very tiny hitbox that can easily be hit around. dont just swing blindly at their center mass, hit legs or around the sword

Its pretty easy to get around the block but always be ready to hear/see your attack getting riposted, usually the fighter will aim at your head so play with your verticality, duck the first and jump the second (first one is almost guaranteed to miss, the second one will hit your legs instead of your head once they aim lower on the second one). If they spam block non stop just hug their face and hit their legs, if you see that they aim at the center (not high enough) you can jump headshot him over and around the riposte.

@@Nars_99STR I didn’t know it did damage I thought maybe it would slow them down by tripping them or something but killing someone wi the a bucket sounds funnier

Barricade and taunt give me 30% damage reduction. And riposte does 187.5% damage. I take little damage but 1-2 shot riposte most classes

@@Nars_99STRthats a good build for melee fights, the obvious weakness for you would be coming up against a wizard and to a lesser extent a geard warlock or ranger. You take crossbow to avoid getting outspaced?

@@derricklittle5591 yes, if i see a wizard i get out of range of his spells and hope to land crossbow shots. if playing with a squad i try to let my teammates deal with the wizard while i try to crossbow him

in the 1v4 clip i took it off to run away from the team chasing me and forgot to put it back on honestly. but in the other clip where i take off my chest and legs was to be fast enough to catch the bard running away with low hp while i was at fulll hp
