Parsi community is such a valuable asset to Karachi. We respect all Parsis and it is sad to know they are leaving now. The Government needs to do more for them.
@@ThinkPinkAngel they are our community. We are all Pakistani. Yes, their religion is different. So be it. They are part and parcel of Karachi's rich history and they deserve to live and thrive here. That's my opinion.
@@Sarahh_28 I beg to differ. It's got nothing to do with being sensible. It's an open world and you can go anywhere you want. If you stay here, no problem either .
I used to walk in these streets by bunking classes from Islamia College back in 2002 .After watching this video I miss those streets so much . I used to walk alone here because there was a sense of peace accompanied by loneliness in these houses though I used to live in Gulshan e Iqbal , but I dont know Why I was so attached to them . Now I am in Australia for years now and will again go there if I visit Karachi.
Same I used to do when I was in Islamia Science College 😁. This area really has its own attraction. A magical feel I used to have while passing from here. I miss it really bad
I'm from upper punjab and my heart cries whenever i see the diversity of Karachi fading away slowly. The city which was once a happy home to multiple diverse religions and people is now a chaotic mess where no sensible being wants to live anymore. These buildings, these communities were meant to be preserved and grow better with time but we ruined it due to our narrow minded thinking towards them. Today's state of Karachi makes me very very sad. Now its just a city with buildings and traffic with no identity of itself. We don't even realise how damaging it is that true Karachiites are leaving 😔💔
Yeah, your name (or at least your username) is Hasan Naqvi but you prefer Karachi under the colonisers. C'mon try to be like Imam Hasan. Not to mention folks here want the Karachi of Ayub Khan because of clubs and bars and all that haram stuff!

1st of Thanks to Careem Captain and then to BBC Reporter for this Marvelous Short Documentary this Area should be put on Protected Heritage Site. It should also be Protected for Architects to learn from it's Construction. Libraries should build by Private Companies or MNC's (without even altering even a single brick) inside for Public with Tickets for Maintenance purpose. Example is TDF House (the Dawood Foundation). It can also be given to TCF (The Citizens Foundation) for Libraries and Educational Purposes.

So naturally, they couldn't stay in Pakistan. India's Richest industrialist families are Parsis, doing very well in India. When i was young , we were not allowed to go in this Area and had the fear of being mugged. But later in my college era I used to walk these streets daily in 2016 - 2018 as it was the shortest distance to reach MA jinnah road. I used to had most peaceful mornings and shady afternoons in scorching heat of summer. I also had an album full of photos i clicked specifically of different and strange flowers present in this area. I actually had a walk in and around Parsi Colony today. Rows of beautiful houses, a grand Sohrab Katrak Park, a beautiful spiral stair case of a house, low boundary walls. It really dont belong to Karachi of today, it seems. But the streets were deserted even though it was late afternoon. 1922 year of built was visible on a house. A sense of peace, you can feel, or its the silence. Not sure where the inmates are but only God save these two streets in Parsi Colony.
Its just 8-10 mins away from my home, really mesmerising, calm & peaceful, at all the times. At nights the view is even more attractive & heartcatching.
