Hi Ella! I'm a senior in high school, and I am really considering some schools in New York City. Going to college in the city has been my dream for a long time. A lot have people have been telling me recently that students in the city sometimes feel lonely since going out is so expensive there. I was wondering if this has been your experience or if you can speak on that a little? thank you so much I loved this video and I love your channel a lot! watching your videos always brighten my day!
Jessie Evans it’s totally lonely sometimes just because the city is so big it can feel isolating.. at the same time though there’s literally always something fun and free to do :-)
Great video Ella... I would think there's no time for loneliness when students can make friends with other students and visit so many free places in NY and surrounding areas. Plus there are assignments and projects to work on, lectures, conventions, shows, store openings, galleries, museums, trunk shows, meet groups, music venues, etc. Wouldn't you agree Jessie? :-)
I'm only in eight grade, but art schools have really been interesting me lately to learn about, does parsons have an illustration and/or drawing painting major (I couldn't find to much good information on that stuff, on,y fashion)
Are the dorms for graduate students the same? like 4 people sharing the same kitchen and bathroom and 2 living in the same room or is the format different?
I went to an art uni in Hungary and I thought that it’s just the eastern european realness to share a room with someone and I assumed that in the western world all kids get their own room. So this video was kinda eye opening and thank u for sharing.

I dormed at Stuyvesant park building and had mice problems on several occasions. Also cockroach incident. I guess it just comes with NYC but the mice can fit under the doors. Just something to be prepared for

My favourite place in Los Angeles is the Getty Center, it has the most amazing views! If you are taking photos the sunset over LA is breathtaking. Also when in Los Angeles you should look up cool places to take pictures, because there are a lot of painted walls and murals that are really, really cool. My favourites are the Angel Wings wall and the Paul Smith pink wall. I'm assuming you will go to The Grove and when your there go to the top of the parking garage, you can see the Hollywood sign and the skyline of LA. Have fun and explore xxxx
Do single rooms cost more than the others? Also does the cost change with residency building? Or is it the same per? (Like 4 person rooms will remain same price across each residency building)
Heeyy so I just got into Parsons and most likely to join in this fall :) But I was just wondering (specifically for housing hehehe), do we get to choose where to stay at or is it assigned? Because I was at Loeb Hall during my summer program there last summer and my friend & I (planning to be roomies :)) prefer not to stay there sooo any suggestions maybe?

i don't know about Parsons in particular but i do know that American "colleges" are alot more expensive per year than the £9250 we pay here in the UK :(
I've researched a lot on this bc I wanna go to Parsons and it's about $40k per year (or was it per semester? idk i don't remember but im pretty sure it was per year) and dorms are $1800 a month. Hope this helps! edit: every fee i mentioned is in US dollars
