The CSB translation, has gradually become my personal reader Bible for studying. It has also become a version of the Bible, that enables me to grow deeper in my Christian way of life due to its readability. I believe that it’s written in such way that it feeds my FAITH in Jesus Christ.
I absolutely love Tim's support for the CSB. He was definitely influential for me in deciding on a good contemporary English translation. It's very exciting how popular the CSB is getting here in Nebraska alone, both with pastors and laypeople. Such an outstanding translation.
@@joesbibles5636 I love Washington, though I've only ever visited Tacoma. Pacific Northwest is an underrated gem...I love backpacking and bouldering up there.
My reaction to reading the CSB is similar to the reaction I had to the NIV in the 1970s: a fresh translation with wording that was often delightful, at times unnerving, but always challenging.
@@joesbibles5636 A better phrase would've been "always thought-provoking". The 1984 NIV came across as fresh and intriguing to many of us brought up on the KJV. The CSB affects me the same way. (I'm not a fan of the 2011 NIV, however.)
I started reading the CSB a few years ago. It was really easy to read. Then a a friend got me a really nice NKJV. I read through that and enjoyed the poetic beauty of it. Then I went back to the ESV. I've been in the ESV since but often reference other translations. I am excited to start the CSB again as a read through. I will keep using the ESV for study and preaching but the CSB is so easy to read. I love to use multiple translations. It keeps things "Frisch".
Tim, I started reading the CSB because of your channel. Now the other reason is because during Covid, Lifeway had so many CSB bible sales you’d be nuts not to stock up, a large print thin line for 10$ in brown goatskin.
The CSB got me back to reading the Bible again after many years away from the Word. It is one of the clearest and easiest for me to understand. The NKJV is my daily driver, but the CSB is easily in my top 3 translations. I would have preferred more traditional gender wording, but you can't have everything lol!
