I am creating a special themed sculpture to benefit the National Kidney Foundation during the month of March, National Kidney Month. Titled "The Good Bean," this sculpture will have a kidney-shaped frame to highlight its connection with the NKF's efforts in raising awareness of kidney health. Follow along as I create this piece and offer up some helpful tips on sculpture building.
If you are interested in commissioning a themed piece for your own event, company or organization, please contact me at one of the links below. I'd be happy to speak with you about the possibilities.

You REALLY have been busy recently. Putting the rest of us to shame. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much, Jonathan. I have been hard at work lately in order to get some new pieces created. I appreciate the feedback. If you are building anything, we'd love to see it at the RBS Facebook page.

Hello, its great, when you explain everything! What type of solder do you use? With my elektronic solder, its easy to break apart! Thanks

Thanks very much. I do not use solder. I TIG weld my sculptures.

What gauge is your track? And where do you buy it at? Would love to start building my own. Thanks! : )

Nickk388 The rod I use for my track is 1/8" stainless steel. You can get it locally by calling around steel shops, or you can order online. It pays to shop around for the best price. Best of luck!

Dumb question - but have you ever seen a 100% fully perpetual sculpture, e.g. once the balls are released, they keep looping until you physically stop them? If so, WHERE...??

+Zippy DoDah Nope. Science hasn't solved that puzzle yet. That would be a true perpetual motion machine, and as of the current date, no one has figured out how to create a machine that doesn't lose energy over time due to any number of other factors, friction being one of the most persistent ones. Sure wish I did invent one, though. I'd have plenty of money at my disposal if I had!
