JJ averaged 18 points as a 34 year old for philly after averaging around 15.5 the four previous years with Doc. If anything, Doc held him back.

JJ at one point was one of the best spot up shooters in the league. This wasn’t a Thanasis type of situation, he could be useful for any team.

JJ got paid $23 million in one season by Philly. JJ’s skillset was in demand. Doc recruited him to join the Clippers. He had other suitors.

Greg won all of those chicks because he had better teams. Van Gundy and other coaches have had multiple jobs and never won a championship. The Bucks had not won a championship since Kareem was there and this was before he was Kareem, and they let him go a season or two after they won the championship.
