You only have to remove the right crank case cover. The side with the clutch assembly.

Also which years have the 4 holes through the fins for the base bolts? Thanks

@@timothyorrego1455 yes. both the cylinder deck height and connecting rod length changes. The difference is 5mm. Prior 1982 has the holes through the fins. Earlier models have higher deck height and therefore longer connecting rod. I had a mismatch of the cylinder and connecting rod in this build therefore the piston is sticking out same as yours. My solution is to make a base gasket spacer. depende po sa modelo. kadalasan ng DT175 sa Pinas yun old model pa. mas maliit ng konti reed valve kaysa sa mga Y1 to Y4 na DT125 natin.

For this model the center to center distance from the 2 bearings is 100mm. The older model DTs is 105mm

sa mga nababasa ko kasi kapag yung block ng RXT ang ikakabit sa DT, kailangan pa maglagay ng 5mm aluminum base spacer. kaya malmang kung yung block ng dt naman ikakabit sa RXT malamang hindi yun plug ang play.

yung makina ng DT175 po na nasa video, yan pareho reed valve sa DT125. bagong modelo po kasi yan. pero karamihan ng DT175 na meron sa pinas old model. iba po yung reed valve. mas maliit ng konti.

Hi. Look at the markings in your new cylinder. do you see "18L00"? If yes then that is the latest model that have a slightly wider reed cage. I can send you a parts catalog. Email me at philipal2015@gmail.com.

Hi Kosmoto, good observations. The 4 holes on the fins that line up with 4 studs at the base of the cylinder can be found on earlier DT models. The later models do not have it. The cylinder is definitely for DT175 but the previous owner put a sleeve on it and bore to a different piston.

Yes it is. The 4 bolts on the base are same position with DT125. Depending on the cylinder block and piston that you can get, you may also need to change the connecting rod. I have another DT125 converted to 175 bore

@@DIYPhil that's awesome news. Is connecting rod's length different from 125 to 175. How much difference it will make in fuel consumption if i convert 125 to 175.

@@mxgmubashir1762 depending on which model there is a difference of 5mm to the connecting rod's length. The bigger 175 will definitely consume more fuel but I not much.

May konting pagkakaiba po. Yung DT175MX na block may apat na butas sa fins ng block katapat nung 4 na stud bolt sa base. Tapos yung reed cage iba din.

Yung stator mo ba yung may 2 maliit na butas? Pwede yan gamitan ng puller na may dalawang hook. Kaso mahirap din makahanap nung puller na yun.

O kaya nmn mag pa welding ka ng nut sa sentro pansamantala, spot weld lang para yun gamitan ng turnilyo pinaka puller nya. Pagkatapos mabunot, i grind yung weld para matanggal ang nut.

pwede po kasi yung pwesto ng 4 na studbolt sa base magkapareho lang. yung isang DT125 ko na convert na sa DT175, kinabitan ko ng block ng DTJ175. kaso nagpalit din ako ng connecting rod.

Pwede po. Yung isang DT 125 ko converted sa DTJ 175 na cylinder. Ang mga pinalitan ay cylinder, cylinder head, piston set, at conrod. Kung magka panahon ako igawa ko din ng video yung conversion ng 125 to 175..

nagiisip nga ako bos na mag import ng ganyang DT175 cylinder kit. tapos ibenta ko na big bore kit para sa may mga DT125 sa atin. bale convertion to 175, salpak nalang. bihira kasi sa atin yung ganyang model ng 175, ang kadalasan meron sa atin yung old model DTJ

Tumpak sir. Naka sleeve n kasi. Mali yung piston na kinabit. Bukod sa walang butas sa gilid naka usli pa sa block

hindi po yun pwede sa DT kasi 66mm yung standard bore ng DT175. isa pa yung HD3 rotary valve hindi tulad ng DT na reed valves. kaya yung piston ng HD3 walang butas sa piston skirt, yung sa DT meron.

yung engine number po sa crank case at yung block siguradong pang DT175. yung ibang pyesa sa loob baka nga kinahoy na. yung dating mayari kinuha yung mabubuting pyesa at pinalitan ng mga sira na. kaya pagka kuha ko maluluwag pa turnilyo.

S nakita ko ang piston lang naman ang hindi oreg naka 58 mm standard ng rxt 135 dapat 66 mm dahil 175 ang blok
