I just happened across your channel. I have 2 daughters that r both adults now but when they were young we raced r.c. together. Those are sacred memories to me!!! When I replaced pull starter on my ,21 Dynamite, I had to remove a few thousandths of material from the inside face of the back plate. Just carefully removed a little at a time with wet/dry 320 paper until there was no longer contact with the rod. Thanks for great vid!
Les Jones II wow I never had to do that at all on my 3 nephews Buggies nor my Daughters Truggy or Nitro Joes RTR Truggy before he’s bad ass 4.0 truggy with TNS 32. Also I did not do it on Marky Ds RTR either and 2 more others . Very strange???
Thanks for this video didn’t realize the hardware to the pull start was so heavy. Just got the Losi rtr 8t and finished the break in an tuning. Engine mount backplate and starter box on its way.

I thought my 4.6 was bigger can't wait to put her n my Savage. An next I will get 1:for my 3.3 revo my little niece play with my cars also

I really enjoyed the vid and i followed along closely. Thanks for all the info it definitely makes sense to utilize the motors efficiency to turn the wheels not to continually turn the inner parts. I'm certain that less stress will contribute to the motors longevity aswel. I'm not new to RC only to nitro engines. Thx

i have this Dynamite .28 also John..but my son broke the pull start and i cannot find a replacement.most of them out there does not fit the .28/even Horizon Hobby don't have it. my son prefers the pull start than a bump box..kids..that's a beauty RTR Losi Truggy..a few upgrades will make it run like a kit..good for you that you have everything around available. Roy Mariano teach your son the right way and use a sealed nitro motor!!! It's way better and free power! Use the bump box!!!! Get a back plate for it! Those NITROs run better! My daughter runs her .28 RTR Dynamite with back plate NO pullstart
From what I can see it looks like that pin and spring are designed to not spin the starer shaft when running I bet money that on that engine the starter shaft doesn't move when it's running

BOTAJELL, Im glad I found ur channel, great stuff here, Im a long time nitro hobbyist(since childhood w/ my dad) ... not quiet to the extent you are but yeah my dad and I still race RC10GT's(weve had for probably over 25+ years now or something crazy) on a backyard track whenever Im home visiting family. Anyways, Im considering grabbing maybe a Losi kit truggy or RTR for where I live now for just bashing around parks n crap ... either way I go, gonna try breaking in how u do it(using idle method on ur pullstart video), rather than following the book(what my dad and I always have done w/ smaller .12' in the RC10's) ... I do have some questions for ya: In some videos you explain to never let the engine tank go empty as a means of engine shutoff(something weve always done on our rc10s lol), what is your preferred method of powering off engine? ... fuel line pinch?And do you adhere to this rule all the time, even after breakin? Also, RTR vs kit, obviously I come from a kit line w/ the RC10, love the idea of kits but kit+everything required really adds up nowadays - 1k to start easy. RTR can be had for round $400, Im wondering... how long would one expect the parts on the $400 RTR to last before you end up spending enough to replace broken crap which would add up to just getting the kit in the first place? The Losi truggy for example, do you think its durable enough to last a while before approaching the $1k price point in having to replace broken parts? Also, whats the parts compatibility between the kit and RTR? Can nearly all(if not all) kit parts be used in RTR as replacement/upgrade? Anywho, thanks again for channel! Really awesome to see nitro still hanging in there, nothing beats it ... sad its turning into a "lost art" glad folks like u are keeping it alive =)

What's up Botajell how you been doing, I just finished building a Associated rc8B3.1 and I am thinking of putting the big red engine in it not to sure for right now I just finished breaking in my novarossi plus .28-7T but towards the end my turbo plug went bye bye but yeah this engine is going to-be nasty

Dynamite .28 is a engine just to learn on . You must eventually upgrade from this engine to a better engine like a Novarossi.28-8 or even a LRP .32 X series! The stock RTR dynamite 28 comes with a regular style glow plug and I recommend you use a platinum/iridium glow plug from LRP . One day when you upgrade to a Novarossi.28-8 I recommend you use only Novarossi medium heat Turbo plugs only if you run Byron’s 30-11%nitro fuel . If you use a different fuel ? You may have to use different heat plug

Sure there’s lots to do in this hobby and have the kids involved from all types of ages! They can help you maintain, Go Over builds , Build , Replace or Upgrade besides just driving and crashing lol 😂!! Even if there real real young like when my kids were real young I had them organize my hardware just to keep them busy like just to try to put the screws and bolts that are the same size in little piles . They grow fast so enjoy every moment!!

What spring are you talking about? Also just a heads up , let me know if you want my 427 and 454 dynamite engines and a few others aswell ? You f you feel like messing around with extra engines ? No worries
Just go to my break in and tuning video I did with this it’s very easy! Just make sure your using a medium heat glow plug and Byron’s 30-11% nitro fuel then do what what I say on the video
I think the SH Based engine is a little more powerful than the Force Based engine. I'm in the market for an engine right now too, might get a Dynamite Big Red Mach 2.
Please get yourself a Novarossi Roma .25 or the 28-8 ! You will be match happier with the performance and less headaches right from the start and especially in the long run ! You will thank me later about this or you will waste your money on the dynamite 🧨 and say Damn I should have had listened 💥👊💥🤝💥💨💨
@@BOTAJELL yeah I know, I've ran a few Novarossi back in the days, they run good and extremely reliable, although the truck the engine is going on May not last too long since the parts support is very low, so didn't want to spend over $150 bucks on an engine. Eventually will go back to truggies and get a 28-8 and buku clutch.
Especially when I clean the snow from there driveways or if they think that someone is breathing into there house I’m always the first person there with a Axe in one hand and a pistol on my hip and on my ankle! They love bro! Even when I used to do burn outs with my real race car and do Wheelies back and forth on the street they still love me !

Jonathan Roy stock motor will never last like a quality engine or in my hands but my daughters truggy still uses stock engine but I’m thinking about installing a stock Novarossi.28-8 engine in it soon. It needs it. But she did get better with nitro with the stock engine . The platform is great so you can use many good nitro engines
AUDY PEREZ no not at all ! I prefer the TLR 4.0 8T Kit over this RTR that’s a copy of the 3:0 NOT 4.0 and even the TLR 3.0 is better then this RTR losi truggy . But this RTR losi Truggy is by far the best RTR out there out of all the Nitros trust me I’ve seen and worked on all of them . You can even throw Modified 28-8s and 32 to this wannabe 3.0 8T platform

TheBurky22 yes I show them in some videos! I only use Byron’s 30/11 fuel ⛽️ on all my Nitros from small to Big Block from RTR to Modified Engines !! I like to use medium Glow plugs for my Regular Headed Nitros and also a Medium Turbo Plug for my Turbo Heads Nitros !! Regular heads I like to run LRP Platinum/Iridium plugs or Mecoys or O.S. and with my Turbo heads on my Novarossi Engine stock or Modified I run medium Novarossi Plugs and My Picco Engines I run Picco Plugs or Merlin plugs from RB MODs

Modified 28-8 engine you must use 4 MAX LIFE SHOES and 4 Green springs and 15 tooth bell and 41032 / 9886
on my .28 dynamite engine the throttle would twist to the right or left while I was leaning or richening the low speed needle so be careful I trashed that engine the idle would not set right so the engine is history
