OVERCLOCKED has to be by far one of the most ambitious Machinimas ever created, not only from a technical standpoint, but in narrative, writing, scope and depth. It's well above par and we salute the effort and sacrifices that must have gone in to putting all of this together. You've inspired many of us to start making 'verse based content and in a decade or so people will look back at this and still try to reach the same level. o7
@@kateyderr3077 I understand where you’re coming from - this was originally released as a non-linear, episodic series where individual episodes could stand alone and each one was loosely related to the others in terms of through-line - thus the whole thing played out differently than you see here. This series was also made “spur of the moment,” as sort of a creative exploration of machinima in SC. You’re correct to imply it doesn’t follow a traditional story structure in chronologically-linear, feature length form, but this was done intentionally and still involves unique storylines that payoff in different ways. Thanks for watching!
I’ve now watched this for the 4th time since coming across it about 6 months ago. It gets better and better. When it’s tough to play I can come to this and just enjoy the pure cinematic genius that was put together here. I take a lot of screen shots in this game, getting the right shot can be tough, but this I know took some WORK, and I love how it all came together, giving the bugs life, bringing some forgotten/un popular ships into the light. Got me flying the nomad again! Lmao Thank you for putting this series together, Well done
Thanks so much! Before making machinima in SC, I used to take screenshots too, so who knows - your first machinima might be right around the corner! You might already know, but there’s a “part 2” to this series as well. Thanks again! Nomad rules!
@@ogodjohn because sometimes a “like” or simple “thank you” just isn’t enough. Plus, Mod’s an amazing machinima creator and knows the struggle is real.
I've still got 20 minutes left to watch but I can't get over what you were able to create with this disasterpiece of a game we all love. Incredible work.
I'm blown away by the quality of this. The cinematography, the voice acting, the story. Bravo. As someone commented here, leaps above the average Netflix "production".
Absolutely Epic! The quality of the writing, directing, editing, music, sound, and voice acting is better than anything else I've seen in the Machinima movement. Damned good artistry and craftsmanship!
Never (and I mean NEVER) have I seen so much high-quality cinematic production from within a video game. I had always thought Red vs. Blue was the pinnacle of Video Game filmography but holy hell this piece just blew me away! Shot for shot, the direction is immersive and breathtaking and had all the same looks as a hollywood movie! MASTERFUL WORK, everyone!
They should be. When these channels grow big and more people see it then developers will feel more pressure to fix things because future player base might be watching not only hard core fans like us who forgive these things ;)
It just sucks you in. The unique characters, the storytelling, the cool shots, the voice acting…. I mean it when I say it’s seriously the best machinima I’ve seen so far.
As someone who is part of a group that is documenting the stories of different organizations and weaving the tales that are recorded. This is awesome and inspirational for us! CAM18 hopes to see you in the ‘Verse
Cool! You guys should join the HubNet discord (link in "About") -- anyone can join and it's basically a central "hub" for machinima-based content creators / fans / creative supporters. We also have a series here at EE Studios called "Red Line" where we actually embed with orgs in-game and put a comedic, narrative twist on their stories.
@@EE-STUDIOS I’ll talk to the guys. We currently have a hub organization called WG Corp. it’s a meeting place for organizations of all types. We have big name low fly orgs, security, CAM18, logistical, etc. it allows our affiliates to find players to fill roles they need including actors
I'll tell you guys, it's not just a machinima, it's a work of art. I have been following this work of yours since the very first episode and I am sincerely grateful for the complete assembly into a complete one and a half hour blockbuster. And this is no exaggeration. Your plot surpassed all indicators of all terminators combined and a whole dozen famous Hollywood films. And that colossal work and patience invested not only in every episode, but in every successful shot deserves a separate highest praise and award! And I know what I'm talking about.
When you think about it Star Citizen is a lot like star wars if it was based in modern anesthetics. With a bit of Halo as well. Disregarding the force and aliens.
My pc is broken so I can’t play star citizen no more, content like this is quite filling the gap in the meantime while I’m saving for a new pc, thanks! This is very well done!
The thing that amazes me the most, even more than the very well written story, the great acting from every one, the sleek camera shots, the little SC’s joke with the NPCs, etc… is that you guys made it 100% in-game and it looks sooo good !
@@EE-STUDIOS And all of what is shown will be doable in the game if not already (except the cyber "operations", but you can easily justify that with some RP). Star Citizen has so much potential do be like DnD : not only a game, but a storytelling device.
Wow. This is amazing. Very very impressive, the voice acting and cinematics are superb. Can't imagine all the work that went into this. All in gameplay footage. Wow
dude i think you actually did what star wars cant these days, the story is open for a 2nd but leave a master piece where it is . atm star trek and star wars cant touch your workmanship so good it is
Wow wow wow wow ... That's a Movie ! Damned you ruined my work day :D Amazing work amazing voice acting, amazing cam's moves, a huge huge congrats on this ! Can't wait to see more of your work !
An intelligent and well written script, it keep me captivated from start to finish! Love the cinematography and music selection was on point. Hope to see more !!!
Second comment in a day but I just watched it front to back. Damn that was a masterpiece. Gave me strong flashbacks to the more serious seasons of red versus blue, but somehow even more superior. Bravo 👏 The amount of work this must have taken 😮💨
first im seeing this... its remarkable what uve put together with the game... well done.... that scene where she is 29:27 running thru the storm shooting is epic.. well done all
Thanks! There are two more episodes after this movie - another 50 mins - that really round everything out. One of them (ep 8), features a guest director too. Be sure to check it out!
Great Movie give you a 11 out of 10! Saw the Episodes a while ago but coudn' t figure out the whole Story. Now i know. Thank you for your great effort on this Show.
Thanks! You may join the HubNet Discord via the link in the description for opportunities to participate in SC machinima in various capacities. You might also come across Ava or Natronix in the Verse!
@12:18 spilled my earl grey over my keboard ... classic T pose :D @_@ BUT THEN 14:48 hit me so hard with the intro an the cinematics after so cool guys
Its so funny and so well executed, using the bugs to your advantage. The T-pose shopkeeper. The walking marine "Kill dance" - This was amazing to watch. The future of Machinima in SC is only gonna be even more epic with this studio around.
Watched all of your stuff and it really helped me out a lot doing my own little machinimas. I learned how much work it is. A thing really only thoose can truely understand who dedicate themselves to this Kind of projects. Love your Videos. See you in the Verse!!!
That’s great to hear. If you’re not already in there, hop into the HubNet Discord (link in description) to resource help or help out with more SC machinima :-)
The fact I've watched the robocop series last week and created a video with the robocop march theme in it. I can't help but get a robocop vibe here towards the end haha
This was extraordinarily well done, I've been watching lots of these animated/game movies recently and this was one of the better ones. Quite often I feel like I'm just watching someone else play a video game, but this time I enjoyed an actual movie. Thanks for your efforts, I really appreciated being able to watch & enjoy your work.
Had to comment again. That was AMAZINGLY done! Congratulations on this. I know it had to be hard to put together, especially with the cuts and dealing with the game limitations and bugs. Very good work! I hope there's a sequel in the works!
Holy crap Nate! 1.5 hours long total, freakn' epic bro and thank you for posting the supercut. Just amazing. CR is smiling at this one. See you out there!
FKUK AWESOME!!!!! love it buys. Another reason why i love this game. the rp movies that are gonna come out of this is gonna be epic. you got yourself a subscriber.
I've never been into machinima, but this came up in my recommended likely from star citizen so I gave it a go. Ended up watching the whole thing! Great work!
3 minutes in and I'm floored. Great sound editing and voice acting! Except for the sniper shot in the beginning. Victim goes down, next cut scene shows him still standing. That was kind of sloppy. However, it is still really, really well done.
Good eye - that shot was actually not intended for use in that way, but during the edit (that was my second episode ever), I thought we needed to see him down from that perspective and didn’t realize it would be so noticeable :-)
@@voiceovernomad Agree. We've actually done a few things together and we're also crossing worlds with other machinima creators as well -- all through the HubNet community on Discord.
Yeah, this is good, as many have commented, great scenes and capture, and what makes it even more unreal is that people who don't know the game wont believe at all that this is basically 100% captured in-game footage. That is how far along SC has come :)
I watched the series some weeks ago, then saved this in my “watch later” list, and today I watched the entire work in one cut. Just incredible. Thank you very much for your effort 😑🙏🏼 See you in the verse o7
Great video absolutely loved it The Nomad losing power is was a real experience that many ppl had to learn the hard way. Now the Nomad is the worst ship in the game. 25 mins flight time on top of that the ship still losses power if u use it for combat 😅😂
Ok definitely Robocop inspired! "Ava you're in direct violation of your prinary directives!" Love it Robocop is an all time favourite and the fact you've swung it to Star Citizen! Just yeah, awesome! 👌
