Hi Bonnie, Great question! You can still make this with a smaller throat you will just need to do that quilting in sections or roll the project back and forth with your needle down. Thank you for watching!
@@bonnieb1952 I have an Avante, so 18 inch throat space. I reduced the size of the bag, and it worked out great. Honestly, though, with the seam allowance, I probably could have made the bag 16 inches wide and just quilted in the area where I was able to do so.
