Thank you for the video I passed my implementation station . To those preparing for implementation if you have a stat order or a PRN even if your scenario doesn't state a diagnosis related to that medication please ask the patient if he/she has any concerns. an example if you have paracetamol prescribed in PRN ask if they have pain, if you have diazepam prescribed in prn ask if they feel anxious, also if the duration is not indicated on the medication chart mention it to the assessor but proceed administering that medication. Goodluck to everyone preparing for their OSCE.
@@zainaboluwanbe9311 if is a regular medication you can confer with your assessor , some might give you the go ahead to serve it other that you don’t serve it
Thank you Enos for all you do,pls a medication was administered at 8:00 and it due at 13.00 pls will administed this medication or code, secondly if the phamacy check is not available will i administer or code the medication.
If pharmacy has not been completed , you can still go ahead and administer so far as all other necessary details that needs to be there is there. With regards to the timing it will depend on the type of medication as in regular, PRN etc .. some pain medication can be given within 4 hours interval and some 6 hours.
@workand wonder, please what code should one use when there is no route in the Prescription under regular medication. Should code 6 be documented at the last page showing omitted doses, or only drugs coded with code 10 should be documented at the back
-You can use code 6, prescription unclear - all medication coded should be written at the last page ,omitted doses, irrespective of the code you used .
