Last trip on the 285 75 16s before lift and 35s So we do a day trip around Valencia creek where the 79 gets caught up on really tight tracks we explain the new suspension decision and Chelle drives her sisters Tesla and tells us what she thinks

Do you notice any difference with traction control and or off-road capability on the new 79 compared with your last one ? Good video Cheers

I feel the new one is better when it comes to traction in general.. Both on and off-road, the auto helps a lot, braking in general is a let down compared to previous model though..

@@TeamBulletOffroad ok, I've been using downhill assist in 1st low range on some steep rutted hills and it seems pretty good, you can hear it pulsing different brakes, I don't think any auto will quite match a manual in 1st low range but overall auto is better off road. Cheers

Great video except for the Tesla. Let's see regenerative braking get you from Sydney to Perth. And like all modern vehicles with a TV in the dash, you've got to look down and left, taking your eyes off the road to see what you were looking at when you were looking at the road. That thing is next decades toxic waste problem and they will tax everyone to deal with it.

Hows the parabolic leaf spring combined with airbags, guess its best for both world's flex and loading

👍 thx for posting mmm…maybe…should have wrapped the vehicle in some clear PPF ?. Great to see you getting out there and using the ‘79 - the auto is doing well. On those tracks the 4cyl is losing nothing to the V8 Cheers

Easily keeps up with the old V8 one I had, everything in my opinion is better Except BRAKING..

Cool video thanks Denny and crew. I've been wanting to do a VHC trip for a while now. I even have 2 mates in vic who keep asking when are you coming down. What months were you there and what was the weather like? I believe it can get stinking hot in summer but then snow in winter when a lot of the good tracks are closed.
