For those looking for where 6042 is located - look up "Berkley Street, Forbes" and on the western end of the street is what remains of the Lachlan Vintage Village. In the centre of the surrounding water feature of the Village, you'll find the 6042. As to how 6042 got here, here is an exerpt from "westernthunderer" on flickr: _Many moons ago, a heritage village tourist museum/attraction was set up at Forbes in New South Wales. It was called the Lachlan Vintage Village. It lasted for some time before closing and more or less being abandoned. I recall going to the Lachlan Vintage Village as a kid. Can't say I recall that engine being there. Damn shame to see such a thing not being cared for &, perhaps, restored
It's owned by the Dorrigo mob who are too busy still collecting stuff to have restored a single item in nearly 50 years, so no chance at all. Very sad.
