It's here!! 1998 was the year the wrestling wars were heating up -- both on the television and in toy aisles! WCW figures were made by Original San Francisco Toy Makers and WWF figures by Jakks Pacific! Over 60+ different WWF wrestlers would have an action figure at retail in 1998 in the Bone Crunching Action line, but with the birth of the Stone Cold Era, most collectors were looking to find Steve Austin!
Join FC as we look back on EVERY WWF figure release in 1998 in Chapter 2 of Bone Crunching Action History!
As a wrestling collector myself, I've stood by and watched Hasbro's WWF line soak in all the nostalgic glory, and rightly so! But its time for Bone Crunching Action to get the recognition it deserves. With our three chapter BCA series we will leave nothing uncovered!
October 1: Part 1 (1996-1997) link: • PART 1: The Complete H...
October 15: Part 2 (1998) (that's this video!)
November 2: Part 3 (1999 to the End of BCA): • PART 3: The Complete H...
Thanksgiving 2021: MEGA BCA History (A video of all 3 chapters combined into one with some added scenes!)

These were the best action figures back in the 90s. I liked when WCW changed their bulky action figures to have moving joints.

This was the era where I got into collecting. I dove into the box sets, which were awesome for a new collector jumping in because right off the bat I could have four of the main guys I saw on TV all at once. Superstars 6 was such a good set, with that new Owen and HHH being highlights, and leading into the Superstars 7 series that remains one of my favorites. Great video!

Man, if you were collection back then, it looks like there were a TON of sets, with 2 or 3 figures you'd already own but would have to buy again to get the one new guy. I would've hated that. lol.

I certainly didn’t appreciate Slammers at the time because I didn’t like the action features but now I kinda want them all over again.

I remember back in the to the mid to later part of the 70's. Mego Superheroes action figures were my all-time favorite toys back then, that is until the movie Star Wars came out. Then the entire world of action figures changed forever. Playsets, speeders, ships like the X-Wing Fighters the Tie Fighters, and even the Millennium Falcon and the Death Star were made. Crazy aliens, Taun-Tauns, Jabba the Hutt, and so many more. After the Empire Strikes Back was released, I was entering High School and action figures and "Toys" were for kids. Wrestling was always popular in our state. We had the AWA's All-Star Wrestling show. But then like everywher else the wwf became popular. During those years I missed out on a LOT of really good action figures. The DC Superpowers collections, followed by these wrestling. I eventually got back into collecting Star Wars and Marvel Legends, the Toy Biz figures, but again I missed out on a lot of really cool and unique figures. It was really great time for toy lovers/collectors and especially for kids.

I had a few of these. These were on the way out when I got into wrestling figures as a kid. The Titan Tron figures were the main line. I had that attitude ring but it was repackaged as a Wrestlemania ring
