I like this guy. Down to earth, humble, even though his collection is haute Horology. Very knowledgeable and you can tell his thought process and approach towards his collection.
It seems like Hodinkee was more interested in having celebrities on Talking Wayches than collectors. They did have big time collectors but if felt like being famous was more important to be on the series.
I feel like the 2499 is also the missing piece in Tim's revirew repertoire. I'd love to see him review one one day. It would probably be the most detailed 2499 coverage on the internet.
Love this interview and the collection is simply amazing, but he won’t be done after getting that Patek, lol. I’ve said said this many times: “after this, I’m done”; 2 years later, I have a larger collection and still am addicted, 😂
The first time I saw a 5070 the one thing that jumped out was how the sub registers were too close to the Center of the dial. I don’t think Patek has been able to hide the fact that the movement is too small for the case and it’s a big demerit against the brand for me.
