It's great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Of course, I'm pleased with the outcome and this Ryan's ru-vid.comUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans was extremely useful to me as a guide.

When you are a builder, you learn to use both hands/arms equally well. You simply cannot expect to be able to use the same hand for every task.
@toocoolfortheroom380
@toocoolfortheroom380 2 года назад
@@doubledarefan agreed. I was a beginner on my shop build this year and was pounding nails left handed out of necessity because my right got tired. You get pretty ok at it pretty fast. He still holds his "balancing" hand way out while pounding so you can tell it's still awkward no matter how many times you do it.💪

Prob 8 or 10 ft centers. I've done 80' ers on 4 ft centers on 2ft center framed wall. Trusses wanted to about twist in a pile. Used a 50 ton crane and a 20' spreader bar. Had to swing truss over top of sidewall for that job. Love the 2x12 idea on top to start. Awesome idea. Nothing shakes more than that jlg scissors lift. We got one like that. Awesome work

I always called those scissor trusses. Here in Western Indiana those were used to accommodate bigger combines with bin extensions. Can make end wall doors taller than the sidewalls. The largest building my Dad put up they actually inverted two trusses and had poles down the center to anchor the ends at the peak. It was just used for storing corn but it’s still standing. Great job.

This playlist just gave me the ideal to use the post framing technique to add floor trusses to a renovation i’mdoing. The place already has floor joist but to add extra support to the first floor I can just go into basement install post and install floor trusses on top of those post.

Another awesome vid. Growing up my grandfather was a contractor building spec homes. I enjoyed helping him after school and during the summer. Taught me a whole lot about how the construction of a home works together. I’ve been able to build my own decks, small buildings and even do home repairs on my own without the need of a contractor. Really enjoy watching your channel!!! Brings back a lot of memories working with the family!

1988 right after I graduated my first pole building was 90 by 180. Trusses were built on site. Today everything is 6x8 and 8x8 posts at least in Washington State. Back then we were allowed 6x6 most pool buildings were 2x3-ft holes but on the 90 by 180 they were 3 ft by 6 ft several several yards of concrete. We didn't have near then ice equipment you guys had we had ladders a piece of s*** flatbed truck with a scaffold on it and a piece of s*** trust truck LOL lots of busted knuckles and black fingers on that job. That's a nice size shop I love it.

Man you guys get a ton done with just two guys. Impressive. Just this past week I watched an Amish crew set trusses on a 66x106 building. 1 crane, 1 ground guy, and 6 guys on the building setting the truss and doing purlins as the trusses came up and were set. 4 hours from start to finish. We'll see how the fit and finish is on this building but I can almost guarantee it won't be near the quality as one of your buildings. I do enjoy seeing you take your time with all the quality finishing details you do automatically as part of your buildings. Its definitely what sets you and your buildings apart from the rest. Keep up the awesome work sir.
