So far I'm really enjoying it. As always I need to get into the controls and in this particular case - adjust to the "sticky edges" as I call them :D But give it some time - I will get there.

You blended in with the crowd when you were following the merchant-thus invisible to the two guards at the gate-as long as the white line remained around Basim. Not sure if you figured this out eventually (commenting mid-video) but that’s why you had to keep following the merchant crowd. They’ll stop eventually at a point where you can continue the mission. EDIT: Didn’t realize that eventually the target would show up. So mission complete! 🎉

I don’t know if you’ll see this or if you’ve figured it out already but make sure you pickpocket literally everyone lol 😂 it’s the best way to get a high amount of money and you’ll get more tokens to spend on distractions and such.

Commenting a month later… The guard you were following didn’t disappear; he was there on the ground. However, the game gave you the shard he was carrying without you having to collect it from the body. (You got an on-screen message and an audio comment about the “strange shard” when this happened.) I have to say, though, that I found the game’s “I should investigate” message confusing. AFAIK, there’s nothing to “investigate”-no dialogue to overhear, no mystery to solve that directly involves those three guards…just a shard I’m guessing the game wants you to pickpocket. (How you could do that and live is a mystery to me.)

Hey Lizz. Hope your enjoying the game. But i don't know if you have been doing it or not but I recommend doing the contract. They will help with getting token and also getting stuff to upgrade basim as well. Which if you ever get a chance I recommend playing the very 1st assassin creed game. Which I think my honest opinion the best assassin's creed game where the enzio collection and Black Flag. Which I think they should have brought back the the fighting mechanics like they had in the older game before unity came out. But just to let you know if you haven't played the other newer ones like Origin and Odyssey and Valhalla. There very open world and will take tons of hrs of play. Valhalla took me over 100 hrs to beat.
