So many of us have been abused by scumbags for trying to move to, live, do business in Ghana and on the continent as a whole, but thankfully not all people are the same as these scumbags. I find that there is a general culture of dishonesty and greed here, as in my experience, but finding “TRUSTED” people here is a lifesaver. Bigup to the Sista for standing firm.

Unfortunately she was not advise that for new construction you never pay in installments. The normal sales contract for new construction is that you pay the money after Construction is completed and you go to closing. The maximum you can pay in advance as an earnest money deposit that is credited to the final payment. If you structure your sales contract in that way you don't have to worry about all that. If on the other hand you buy some land and you engage the services of a construction contractor they want installment payments you should have a lawyer draft some very tough language that will protect you in case the contractor does not finish the job

Glad things worked out. I think people considering buying property overseas should consider the following. 1. Speak to YOUR country's consulate that operates in the country you are considering buying in. It is their mission to represent their citizens when they travel or do business overseas. Your state department will also list any countries that have substantial issues including crime, corruption, scams, etc. 2. Report any issues to your consulate. They may be able to contact the government of the country you are doing business in and warn them. Countries will speak to their crooks if it will affect the country's overall business posture overseas. Your consulate will also warn citizens of your country. 3 As it is in most countries, it is probably best to buy homes that have already been built than to buy into future or uncompleted developments. Developers are notorious for lying or looking at the most rosy scenarios when it comes to telling potential buyers when a project will be completed. If you are buying something that has been built and operating already, there will be less issues as you won't have to pay attention to their lies. 4. If it is too good to be true, it is not true.

Do NOT EVER pay anything upfront until property is completed. Look for Western standards. It should be a turn-key property. If they need your money in order to continue? That's a RED FLAG NO. 1. Especially if they're established with other properties. That brings people in. I get it. However, shouldn't they have their own financing to continue their projects? That's NOT the buyer's problem. Don't hand over anything. I'm glad this lady is tenacious. I'm still watching it

Thank you for part 3 of this amazing story and this amazing woman. There was some light at the end of the tunnel for her. Unfortunately there are too many stories like this without a happy ending. Ghana is a beautiful country but the people who run it are useless and brain amputated. They can are less about the Ghanaian citizens let alone foreigners. There are very little regulations and hardly no accountability, there are laws but no one follows the law. The police dont follow the law, they are criminals. Most of the judges dont follow the law, they are criminals. Most of the lawyers dont follow the law, they are criminals with the exception of the last lawyers who represented Ms. Bailey. I am shocked that a judge told her not to buy land in Accra because they are all thieves in Accra. So who can you trust when the system is so messed up and it doesn't protect its own citizens let alone foreigners?....hardly no one!

GREAT ENDING! Glad the LADY got her money back or most of it. Although her initial purchase was for JUST 30,000 pounds or so; it seems like 30,000 pounds in Ghana is the equivalent of over $450,000 (guessing) to an Ordinary Ghanaian based on some of the cost comparisons that I've seen since first viewing this video. The Government there in Ghana HAS TO FIX that disparity SOME HOW or "NOT" deal with the OUTSIDE WORLD. It puts the Native Ghanaians at too severe of a DISADVANTAGE monetarily wise, when a SMALL AMOUNT of money (relatively speaking) generated in a Western Country like 30,000 pounds, but in Ghana that 30,000 pounds put the holder of that money in a very high WEALTH STATUS among the general population. The disparity of WEALTH happens in the United States of America, as well, like some Americans can buy a $500 MILLION "BOAT" while the average pay for workers of the $500 MILLION BOAT "OWNER" COMPANY is maybe (just guessing) $23.00 an hour as to general workers, which is not TERRIBLY bad when many Americans are STILL making $7.50 to $9.50 an HOUR; but STILL doesn't "FEEL" like such a great disparity like in Ghana where EVERYBODY "CAN" "SEE" the great wealth DIVIDE; whereas in the United States of America; you don't get to see that $500 MILLION "BOAT" floating or that BILLION DOLLARS airplane flying; so if you don't see it; people have the tendency not to recognize that the GREAT "DIVIDE" even EXISTS and can believe their $23.00 an hour makes them SPECIAL in terms of WEALTH. Regardless, hopefully the LADY will find HAPPINESS there in Ghana and that the Government will CRACK DOWN on all of that SCAM "RUNNING". And just to be FAIR, sometimes ECONOMIC CONDITIONS can make good intentioned persons look like "SCAM ARTISTS" when things develop outside of their CONTROL. However, communication usually solves that problem when it LEGITIMATELY comes up and the process is NOT a SCAM from the "BEGINNING". Again, good to see her "SMILING"!

Wode Maya promoted Rehoboth properties. When I reached out to him he didn't respond. He has a RU-vid session promoting buying from Rehoboth.

Are you sure you want to migrate to this country? Somethings look great when we romanticize an idea, however reality sets in. Can you live being so paranoid with everyone you meet there. 😢 sorry you had to go through such horrible situations.

I have been watching a lot of other channels with this building issues in Ghana and if the government doesn't do something about these issues how does he expect the diaspora to invest in Ghana if you don't buck ur big toe then you don't know how the pain feels it is total no sense what is going on
@jayajaya788

Obviously, the government doesn't care... but they care if it was some other groups of people!!! This would never happen to any other race of people doing business there...I have never ever heard of anyone that is doing business in Africa having any problems building or any price gouging...nothing!!!
