This series has been extremely helpful. Thank you for taking the time to go thru it in “detail” (enough for us looking at our next build). Definitely saving these for our future build out.

This was a good series, thank you...one thing that I would mention, some isp provider (even when you change providers) give their clients an all in one access modem/router...mine did...if this is the case, the isp provider will have the "bridge" their device so that the Unifi router works behind their modem/router...but still, a very good informative series...

Thanks for your comment. You are right on that... I wish ISPs would give you the option to just install a modem if you have your own router, but that just isn't the case. I, personally, have found that there are times when puting their equipment in bypass mode is necessary... and helpful. (VPNs, FW Rules, Port Forwarding) And, other times when it really doesn't enhance the network. Its a good call out of for the viewers though. Thanks for taking the time to do so.

Would you recommend the U7 pro or stick with the U6 at this point? Can you share a bit about the pros and cons of U7 pro? Thank you!

I think the benefits outweigh the downsides of the U7 Pro... 1) the price is good. Its an affordable upgrade. 2) More and more devices are going to be including 6Ghz in their devices so you would be able to take advantage of that and 3), the size footprint is the same. For me the only real downside to the U7 Pro is the power requirments. The U6 Pro maxes out at 13W which means it can be powered by standard POE. The U7 maxes out at 21W and requires POE+... so you may need more switch POE Power to run U7s... but with the new switches that have come out, that shouldn't be much of an problem... In short, the U6 is a great AP that you can't go wrong with, but I think I would push you towards the U7 if you can power it... Thats my 2 cents.
