I don't want to be all over the top but some of this stuff is borderline life altering lol. You know how many Word Up! magazines I bought and had the fly posters all over my walls in 88-91? They say you should never meet your heroes, I DEFINITELY understand why. So basically it's things I've given Marley credit for that OTHER cats actually did that work? WOW...Hey it is what it is, it's great that these unsung heroes get their acknowledgement if not full credit for their work on your platform Kraze because basically they inspired many kids who grew up listening to "their" music but thinking all this time that the next man was creating all that magic...I dont know bro, I dont think I can take anymore disappointments lol.....I swear if it comes out that Marley didn't actually do the cuts and scratches on Roxanne's Revenge Im done lol....

Just wow. I distinctly remember reading in magazines back in the late 80s and 90s how a lot of the Cold Chillin artist were saying something to the effect of "they brought this sample blah blah blah". This isn't to negate Marley's talent by any stretch but having listened this interview by Cool V. Wow His level of detail is too accurate for starters. I think it's just a matter they were just young and beyond green. Very interesting story about how he and Polo switched things ("Streets of NY" for "Vapors"). This definitely makes me want to buy his book now. Glad he clarified that Ty story about "Just a friend" also and that sounds very believable. I remember when "what comes around..." came out, I didn't like it. I thought it was one of those scenarios where an artist is trying to piggyback on a previous hit in the same style. In that instance, "Just a friend". On that "Diabolical" album "SPRING AGAIN" was my favorite track. Great interview

I had no idea that Cool Vee was involved in production like that. Being a producer myself from the 80's & 90's and being a ghost producer for artists on various projects, I had my suspicions about Cool V because he was a dj and some of best producers are dj's!! I kinda figured he was more involved in production than advertised because on the streets back in those days, it was rumored that Marley didn't compose a lot of those songs he got credit for.
