Thank you for the video. My jeep is at 300k and i just did this as a preventive measure before i have this problem.

Well I watched the video and completed the mod. By passed the swirl motor as per the video. Easy to do. Cleared the codes and so far no more codes or limp mode driving. Hope it stays that way long enough to trade it in LOL Thanks again it saved me a costly repair bill. Cheers Maple Ridge BC Canada

Thanks for this video my 08 jeep did this to me this week, chk engine light and blinking throttle, pulled code p2015,would not accelerate. Well I watched your video and bypassed the motor,all lights are gone and now running ok thx again life saver.!!!!

Have you done Part 3 yet? Just curious about what you did to fix the problem when the light came back on. I put the resistor and the lightning bolt light went off but the engine light remained on.

For goodness sake people, stop making a big fuss about this resistor. It is 4700 ohms which equals 4.7k ohms, sometimes denoted as 4k7 and probably has colour stripes yellow-violet-red-gold. Doesn't matter here what its wattage rating is, it is very under-stressed electrically, but I'd prefer 2 watts to 1/4 watt here given the choice as it's bigger and more robust. They cost almost zero unless you are being ripped off.

Hello. I have managed to get to the swirl motor multiplug but I have spent ages trying to remove it. I clicked the white slider switch upwards and tried to prize it off but no joy. Any thoughts out there would be appreciated.

I see that in this vid it did not do the job and there is a part 3 somewhere. I need to do this, been in limp mode with flashing lightning bolt symbol for months now, very fed up with the thing.

Very good informations for me....i have change the pipe 68188865AA....i have put a 1 kohm resistor....and then i drived the Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 crd 20 km on the highway at 3000 tr/min...en français ....j'avais plusieurs codes pannes depuis 6 mois, mon moteur était limité à 1900 tr/min....j'ai changé l'ensemble 68188865AA disponible sur eBay pour 75€....le code panne ne disparaît pas...j'ai mis une résistance de 1 kohm comme indiqué dans cette vidéo...j'ai roulé 20 km sur autoroute en 3 eme vitesse à environ 3000 tr/min....j'ai arrêté le moteur puis redémarré et le code P 2015 à disparu. Le problème venait du clapet de recyclage des vapeurs d'huile vers l'admission d'air. Ce clapet est à changer à 200 000 km...ma voiture a 232 000 km .

you can get just the new hose SEAL right from Mercedes.. its orange but was upgraded with the correct tabs.. I guess benz uses this as a "replaceable" part so they put a new one in each time they take the hose off... really dont need to do that each time, thats why benzs $$ is so overpriced... cant get it from jeep though.. they want to sell you the entire unit for like $150 instead of $17.... also the fuel filters and oil filters are cheaper from benz.
