+Ingrid Kiss I'm so glad these videos have been able to give you someone to relate to regarding keratoconus. i know how hard it can be to find individuals with the same condition.

I just had my first half set if sutures removed and it feels gritty and is uncomfortable when open and blinking so I’ve just been keeping that eye closed. It’s so uncomfortable and my eye is red and tearing heavily. So been patting it and blowing my nose alot since leaving my appointment

Hi. My specialist is sending me to a corneal specialist now, my main problem is that I have bad anxiety around having my eyes touched are there any tips or tricks you can tell me that might make it all a little easier on a seriously stressed out patient?

@kellymcewen2823 8 лет назад
+Abraham Hanhan I'm happy to hear that you are going to have some of your stitches removed soon! The drops they put me on for that week was a tobramycin and dexamethasone ophthalmic suspension, however, i'm not sure of the exact brand name.

heey kelly! please do upload of your stitches taken out.. thankyou.. when is your next sutures removal will be done? this month? or next month? anyway i got a little more questions i hope you won't mind and will answer it. ty in adv. i did my left eye corneal transplant full thickness last 12 August. my doctor said they're gonna try to start remove my sutures on February and when the day come the doctor checked my eye out and said that she can't do the removal yet and goin to try again in a month and keep saying the same thing every month til may iirc. on may she ask me to stop the monthly appoinment and to come again on august (exact 1 year post ops) is this actually normal? im kinda nervous if she really gonna start removing the sutures on August.. i really hope its goin well.. uhmm.. swimming is not allowed right? did your doctor told you that you can't do exercises, sports etc? i really wanna go jogging and do a little workout like push up sit up etc.. my doct said i cant do those stuffs.. i really feel so useless.. im really gaining a lot of weight this almost one year.. im fkin bored staying at home all day.. cant even drive due to poor sight :( sigh.. thankyou kelly.. hope your next sutures removal goes well.. pardon my bad english.. i love your awesome videos, its really helpful.

I will ask my dad if he still has the video and upload it if he does :) the remainder of my stitches were removed last month I believe. I did not upload a video on that appointment because it was essentially the same as the experience from this video. To be honest I'm unsure why your doctor has waited so long to remove your stitches. it may very well be normal though. I know that partial thickness transplants take less time to heal than full thickness transplants and even then its generally 6-8 months until the stitches are removed, but it differs from person to person depending on their rate of healing. I healed quickly so it was 4 months for me. I just looked it up and the source said that they can be removed between 3 and 17 months. I would not recommend swimming until your doctor gives you the go ahead. as far as exercise, light activity should be fine. You should be able to go jogging. I'd be more careful when it comes to push ups though (it may cause strain on your eye), you also probably don't want to start lifting any weights just yet.

+randy mohan i'm seeing much better than I was but its hard to measure the gradual progression after the surgery. I am not driving yet but plan to be soon after my stitches are all removed and i'm able to receive an eyeglass prescription.
