I think the piece could have done without the melodramatic and rather indulgent movements and flourishes. Let the music stand on its own. No need to wave your hands about for attention.
I highly doubt you’ll read this, and I don’t comment on youtube videos hardly ever, but you play in the most wonderful fashion. How much would a man have to go through to see you play in person?
Wonderful depicts Bach genius, repects what I believe are passages that should be played in the “Bach traditional way” and what a creativity to show Bach genius in a superb interpretation full of freedom and no attachments, I guess Bach would aplaude.
Bravo 👏 Just as I love my Bach ! Rhythmically precise & alive yet freshly interpreted with beautifully & immaculately marked dynamics, phrasing & voicing. The slower mvts were also beautifully introspective & pensive. You made my heart sing. Many thanks 👏🏆
Bravo, such an emotional reading of a stunningly gorgeous piece! Bach was likely the greatest musician of all-time and this is an amazing performance. Thank you for sharing!
I started learning to play piano after I retired. It was so difficult to tell my fingers what to do. When I was so discouraged, somebody told me to play Bach. I have been playing Bach ever since. I love Bach. Listening to your performance confirms why I like Bach, how Bach could be so helpful. So great performance. So musical voicing. Bravo!
What wonderful playing. I've often struggled to get into Bach when compared to later composers as his music tended to be unintuitive to me, but this is, in a word, beautiful. Thanks for sharing and helping me appreciate some new music!
I still don't know how to get a Bach repertoire lol, with dedication I can learn a piece but then I'll eventually forget it when learning a new one, this is just a big struggle to retain, very difficult for me to wire/map memory landmarks
Bravissimo!! What a marvelous, masterful, mindful, and thoughtful performance. Thank you so much. I enjoyed it so very much. The 20 minutes seemed like 3 minutes
An unusual interpretation (meaning, different from the others I personally know). I like the way the two hands are so well distinct. Thx for the music!
What a magnificent rendition. The legato touch, the moments of rubato and your weighting of the different voices were all sublime. According JSB's masterpiece with a fresh and original sensibility
I remember when I first heard Sinfonia and it was from the background music of a movie. I'm glad that this performance can echo through my sentiments with completely distinct impression and not any way in regard with the ambience of that movie. Very surprising. It feels almost as if I'm listening to this for the first time without any nostalgia. Nevertheless I'm just an amateur listener and more like a dilettante, I'm really thankful for your work.
Dunno how to start this, but it's amazing. The control you have over the keys is amazing. If you'd be wanting to answer my coming question, I would be extremely thankful; what kind of feelings do you experience while performing? Do you ever have this worry about making mistakes, this chilly feeling, or have you gone past this already, do you feel completely free and absorbed in the piece? I'm really glad I found you, you are a promising pianist to me, like there are not many nowadays. Best wishes, from one pianist to another 🧡
breathtaking rendition :) life has been absolutely miserable. the horrors persist, and so to do i... in part due to these amazing compositions you post thank you. it may seem trivial but truly thank you for easing the pain and turmoil of my heart with your amazing musicianship!
As a professional pianist i must say this is one of the best renditions of this piece. I compliment for the depth of the interpretation. It takes a lot of work to find a personal way of thinking this kind of music without exaggerate things and sound out of context. And you did it wonderfully.
The 2nd keyboard partita is usually one I sort of skip over but oh my god you just made me appreciate it so much more. This was just fantastic-what a lovely interpretation.
@@bwv232 the word "interpretation" is so utterly lofty and pompous. I just say, "I LIKE THE WAY YOU PLAYED IT". If you want classical music to extend to new audiences, stop using BS terms like "interpretation", because it excludes them. They'll never get, that that's just a snobby code for "HOW IT'S PLAYED, which they could understand !
@@michaelholme ... In no particular order: First, OP used the word interpretation, not the channel, so your @ was misplaced. Second, interpretation has a distinct meaning from _how_ something is played; it is not a 'BS term', and was used correctly here. Third, it's not your place to talk down to people for using a word you think is too advanced for beginners, even if that were correct - which it is clearly not. For the small percentage of the population that would be intimidated by a word like interpretation (and I imagine it must be a _very_ small percent indeed), then hopefully the fact that this is a message _between two people who clearly DO know what it means_ would mean even the most obtuse reader could let it lie. It might behoove you in future comments to re-examine your ideals pertaining to this topic, and to approach similar situations with caution, being yourself aware of this issue. In other words? Don't be a dick. People can talk however the f*** they want. P.S. The word pompous means "affectedly and irritatingly grand, solemn, or self-important". There's only one comment in this thread that fits that description.
@@michaelholme Haha!! No, "interpretation" is not some obscurely technical term. It's a commonly used word that keeps its common meaning in this context. There are terms that you could make that complaint about, but that's not one of them. Don't underestimate people so severely!
@@GreeneyedApe I've played classical piano for 34 years. Taught it, and listened to much piano. For the longterm survival of classical music in the widest sense, we HAVE to break the dominance that the middle-class has over it. Poncey terms like "interpretation" are an example of the unnecessary exclusivities and jargon, that are rife.
High sound quality and a magnificent pianist, that's all i need for a gratefull midnight before getting ready for sleep. Be proud of in what have you become because that talent befits the most value reward, a clearly well fed soul.
It is a delightful experience to simultaneously listen to beautiful music flowing from your fingers and watch the pure and sincere passion that makes a girl irresistible.
