Beautifully tied and demonstrated. Thank you. A simple northern spider ellegantly demonstrated. Sparse feather hackle and silk only body, just as it should be. So often over dressed! Occasionally I copy an idea I picked up from Davie Mcphail, and I rib the return silk rather than touching turns. Thanks again Stuart York

Sietze, There is no one way to fish the North Country Spiders, _but_ I find that by far the most effective method to fish them is upstream, dead drift, in the film of just sub-surface - very close to conventional dead drift dry fly fishing. The takes tend to be very visual. Conventional light line tackle - in my case this translates to a 9' 4-weight in the majority of my fishing. Occasionally shorter rod length if conditions dictate. Cheers, Hans W
+Stream Urchin Hi Bob, yes all is well - thanks for asking. I took some time off to focus on a few of my other interests/hobbies. I will resume the tying videos before long. Be afraid, be very afraid... ;-) Cheers, Hans W
Hi Bob, All is well, thanks for asking. I took some time to pursue other interests/hobbies. Not enough hours in a day ;-) Videos will resume before long. Cheers, Hans W
Hi Hans how and where do you fish these classical spiders? Also, what equipment do you use for fishing north country spiders? Great tying i also really like your danica page. Greetings Sietze
