just got the 18g brad nailer kit on clearance at lowes for $140 and it is LIGHT! i was returning a metabo nailer because it was just too heavy for my wrist (weak from surgery) and saw the paslode and couldnt believe how much lighter it was.

They are lighter than they look! Great nail gun! Congrats on the purchase, I think you will love it.

Thanks for the demo. I've decided to get the Pasload due to weight and size.

Good review. Buying this nailer. Using it to nail ½ shiplap onto ½ drywall and finally into 2x4 studs. What length nail would you reccomend?

Thanks! If you nail it from the flange and don’t face nail it (which I would recommend so you don’t have to fill nail holes) I would say you could get by with 1 3/4” or 2” nails. A good rule of thumb I guess would be about 2.5 times the thickness of wood. If you flange nail it or toe nail some may call, that would be 1/4” thickness really and then allow for the 1/2” Sheetrock. That will give you roughly 3/4” x 2.5”. Gives you just under 2”. So I say a good nail for most trim project is 2”. That’s probably what I would get just to be able to cover several things instead of buying a bunch of different sizes. 2” shouldn’t hurt anything. Hope this helps!!

I thought the angled version only shot 32-63 nails and the straight one shot 16-63 straight brads ?

You maybe right. It shows 100 on the side, but I didn’t verify that. My mistake if that’s the case. Thanks for the info. I will have to check it out myself

@Select Your Tools it's because I'm about to buy one and I think the straight is more versatile for small trim work . I'm using a dewalt now and sometimes 32 mm nail is to big

@@warrenlee6847 That’s awesome! The straight would be good. I think I was able to reach tight corners better with an angle. I think both would go great for most jobs though. Best of luck man!

I don’t think I’ve ever used one. I’ve used the Milwaukee one.

Don’t buy the dewalt it’s garbage I’m on the dewalt platform and love my dewalt tools but they’re still on their gen 1 flywheel design, it’s either paslode or milwaukee for cordless nail guns and Milwaukee has to be gen 2 because gen 1 they couldn’t get it right yet.
