That is making the gun functionality easier to understand. I did not know before this video that we can operate the gun in a disassembly matter as you do. This is making diagnostic a lot easier to do . Great that you have share your knowledge

Thanks! Your review helped me fix mine. Not the exact same problem but helped me understand the the functions of the two switches. It definitely helps to play with it all taken apart to test it and watch for a spark.

Dan, Good video. Sorry to see you had to buy the expensive spark unit. I suggest you put the old spark unit back in and see if it works. If it does, then sell it to recover some $. Of the 10 Paslode guns I've repaired, I have yet to encounter a bad spark unit. A blinking green light means it's good. Problems are usually a broken slide switch or or dirty wiring. Glad to see you got it working again. Keep it clean and lubricated and it will be reliable.

I had a similar issue (no spark), but it was NOT mechanical. I found the lead wire (red one) coming from the module was not making good contact inside. I shoved it in tight and epoxied the wire to the housing. Works great (again).

Well done! Probably it that makes mine not work...well let's hope it is. Same problem with 350which has a more or similar sensor with a roller easier to fix with a piece of alu or a couple of drops with acrylic fast glue

The spark ignited the butane which provides the propulsion? And the battery just powers the spark and the fan?

Thanks so much for posting this tutorial. I managed to figure out a similar issue with my Paslode nailer where the fan was working but no sparking. It had to do with a engage button which was not pressing when the trigger/cylinder was pushed to fire the nail. It turned out that the O ring on the fan assembly has become loose and preventing the cylinder to go all the back to engage mode. I am trying to figure out where to buy the O ring locally. Where did you buy the parts?

For a VERY expensive gun, the engineering sucks. A plastic part that gets slammed on by pressing the tip of the gun, who could've foreseen it breaking. Wow I wasted over $1000.00 on 2 guns, that are both broken. There should be a class action lawsuit. Getting me and electric nailer next.
