Cleaning & Maintaining Paslode Cordless Finish Nailers 

I am a homeowner with a day job who does not do anything construction related for a living. That being said I am working on framing out my basement and Bought this ru-vid.comUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt gun. I have done a few walls already, have probably shot a couple hundred nails through this thing and have yet to have a misfire. It works awesome, good depth on every nail if you have your compressor set right. My literal only complaint is that it is a bit heavy and my arm can get a little tired especially whrn I am nailing at odd angles. That being said I am super happy with it and would buy it again. Hoping the old girl allows me to get my whole basement finished out!

Paslode is next nail gun I am buying

I gotta clean mine up. Just needs a good cleaning, but getting fed up with the high maintenance. I try to avoid saw dust, but working around dummies makes that almost impossible.

I just bought Paslode finish nailer off eBay, and I could only get it to fire once. When I took it apart, I found that the cylinder head and combustion chamber were caked with residue. It appears that the spark plug wasn't firing properly. After giving it a good cleaning and oiling with Paslode products, it worked like new. I can't understand how some people can be so negligent with their tools.

Another great video! But *when* are you going to clean a dirty tool instead of one that just came off the assembly line? :-> We'd love to see realism. Dirt that really comes out of the filter, dirt / oil / carbon out of the cylinder, etc.

Is there suppose to be Orings in the seal rings in the cylinder head?

What position should the piston be in after cleaning or disassembly? I cant find it documented anywhere.

Bit misleading. As a tool repairer, from experience, a paslode framer needs a full rebuild and service kit every 50,000, but a finisher is about 20,000 to 25,000. The paslode service guide also says that a framer needs a light clean and re-oil every 12,000 shots, and a finisher is much less.
