Thanks you so much for the in detail video. Currently I am using this to send out email confirmation to the user on successful submission of document. I have stored the user email in a variable (in powerapps) and will pass it To* filed of Outlook in automate flow.

Great video. Was wondering if you are still answering questions about it? I am stuck on an app that was created by someone else and I am running into an issue that I feel may have an easy fix, but I am missing it. I have tried a ton of things and all I do is make it worse. I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you!

I like the video. However, I find it frustrating when you start the video with the words, "From the last video..." Do you have a link to the last video? I'm trying to learn now and getting started is frustrating.

Hey Joe, thanks for the comment and sorry for the inconvenience. The video to trigger a flow is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XZMYM5eCoI8.html Good luck with your Power Platform journey! :)

it's weird -- mine is a "first name" input field, and I've adjusted the Hint Text to "First Name" and leave the text blank. When I launch runtime and change the value of the field and then run the flow, the text comes through to my email blank...

Hey Steve, it is possible the connection has broken between flow and PowerApps, I would suggest recreating the variables in flow and reconnecting it to the PowerApps and see if this works. I have had this issue many times.

Is it possible to pass multiple variables? For example, when a user hits a button I would like the app to send them an email with an attachment. I have the attachment good to go. Can't figure out how to pass their email through since now I'm doing multiple variables.
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou 2 года назад
Yes you can pass multiple variables from PowerApps into Power Automate. You can keep selecting "Ask in PowerApps" as shown in 59 seconds of this video. Every time you "ask in powerapps" another variable will be expected to be passed. When passing, at 3:11 in my video when we run the flow, you need to pass all of the variables in this function. So to pass 3 variables would be for example: PowerAppFlowTriggerTest.Run(variable1, variable2, variable3) Also notice at 3:00 when I hover, it says it is expecting 1 variable, this will show how many variables expected depending how many times you select "Ask in PowerApps" from the Power Automate flow.

@@WeTechCareOfYou i finally realized how all worked out. When I labeled my step in power Automate I was able to link my variables to the step through the run formula in poweapps

@@WeTechCareOfYou I have run into an issue where the flow is pulling the wrong variables in the wrong places. Was all working at the start, but now isn't. There doesn't seem to be a way to match up the variables passed with where they are received? Very confusing.

is it possible to pass something from a text box in power apps and create a file with that text in on sharepoint or azure blob stroage?
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou Год назад
Hey Ella, yes there are many ways to achieve this, we can create excel, pdf or html file. Or if you wish to create word document this will require paid premium connector.

Hi, Flow.Run() seems not to accept any parameter, do you know why?
@WeTechCareOfYou
@WeTechCareOfYou Год назад
Hey Alessandro, you need to add the variable in the flow first, then refresh the flow connection in the PowerApp and it will expect variables to be passed
