I hate to invoke the wrath of the ghost of Edward Said, but this shows that the Russian passion for great Western music took root in the far flung, even Muslim, provinces and outlived the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Amazing performance. I just love the person in the lower left who obviously has not the slightest interest in this concert, as they are on their cell phone the entire time. Perhaps they were forced to attend, but why not just sit in the back instead of shining the cell phone in other people's eyes? How rude.
