In this film we are on a crossing with the Stena Saga from Frederikshavn to Oslo and back in May 2012.
Stena Saga was built in 1981 as MS Silvia Regina and was for Silja Line in service on the Helsinki-Stockholm route from 1981-1991. Together with her sister ship MS Finlandia she was the biggest ferry in the world from 1981-1985.
In 1991 Silvia Regina was sold to Stena Line and renamed Stena Britannica.
The Stena Britannica was in service on the Hoek van Holland - Harwich route from 1991 to 1994.
In 1994 the ship was renamed Stena Saga and changed to the route Oslo - Fredrikshavn.
From 1994 to 2020, the Stena Saga operated on this route until Stena Line permanently closed the route in March 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic and the Stena Saga was laid up.
