Supposedly water can also leak through the A-pillar trim if the water-proof connectors are broken, but checking these will likely break the connectors, so it's a catch 22
@@HazyJay i have l322 td6, i think my problem is as you show, because theres alredy some silicone added from a previous owner, so that definnetly looked like it might be throu there, as i heard, others even drill out a hole in that tray where water collects to drain it if anything like that happens again
Hey Hazy, have you done fuel injectors yet? You don't have the direct injectors do you? I'm getting ready to do mine on 09 rrs 4.4l v8 If you know how can you do a short vid just showing how to remove fuel line and release pressure, and what bolts need to come off? AWESOME!!!!!!!!..... I was hearing swooshing sounds in my dash board when doing a sharp left turn. The n water would pour out onto the passenger side under the glove box.. Funny is the Radio went silent prior to the water leaks and nav screen froze on the green Land Rover logo... After the water leaked out onto the footwell, the radio started playing and nav screen displayed streets again...Some say its because there a clogged AC drain pipe.
The AC drain pipe is another option but the cowl only causes water WHEN IT RAINS (or car wash etc.) While an AC drain causes water any time the AC is on 🫡
I am so excited I found this channel. Bear with me as I gush thru the videos. Do you have a video on any of the following for Lr3 2006? The sunroof stopped opening, what to do? The heat on drivers side is cooler than the rest of the car..I took it in, they replaced something for 800$ and it never worked making michigan winters rough, any tips? the felt is starting to fall off around the doors and the sun visors....I will keep looking, i have no idea what I am doing but I am willing to try! Thanks again!
For the sunroof check the fuse behind the glove box, should be fuse location 20 that's 15 amps. If the fuse is fine, consider calibrating the sunroof, to do this turn the car battery on (key position 2, engine not on) and press and hold the close sunroof button for about 20 seconds until it starts moving, keep holding it as it opens and closes back up then you can release.
For the heater, the heater core might be clogged. Basically the warmed up coolant from the engine goes through tubes behind the dash and that is used for heat, but if one side's tube gets clogged it wont be hot. You can "flush" the heater core from the engine bay. I have a similar issue but my driver side is cold, I haven't bothered fixing it though because I live in Texas and it's rarely cold.
Yeah the felt liners will come off, you can buy new ones and bolt them on, the screw that holds them in is behind the "airbag" plastic tag, you need to pry that back.
think i have this problem on my 2012 autobiography ?? there one small area of the cowl that i can just about get my pinkie finger into on the passenger side of window (uk )
I was so thinking this was the cause of 2 inches of water in the footwell this morning. The bottom window cowl is warped right above the cabin air vent. However, the cabin air filter is bone dry. Could it go into the footwell without passing through the filter?
This is happening to me but on the drivers side. My cowling looks warped at about mid point. There is also a vent on the driver's side where water can get in?
