With the transition into the PLA foot drill. I'd say the British influence on HK uniformed services and HK youth groups are waning fast. At least the bagpipes remain an integral part of HKPF massed bands.

After 22 years of hand over from British to Chinese rules you would think that the HK police department would have some common sense to slowly phasing out the colonial police tradition. No wonder some Hong Kong people insisted that they are not Chinese.
Ironically with all their British colonial traditions the police itself has no problem squashing those who don't consider themselves Chinese which makes your argument invalid. In any case you do know that Communism isn't native to China either.
