Wow, This episode still shows Allen and Betty flirting with each other, only to get married four months later. How lovely.
@TheRAH14

When this episode was recorded, Betty was still resisting Allen's marriage proposals, but it wasn't much longer (around Easter, in fact) that she finally said yes. I love watching them flirt because even though they weren't really publicizing their relationship at this point, a viewer that didn't know would still get the sense that there was "something" there. There's a special chemistry between them that isn't there when Allen interacts with other female celebrities on the show.

I think that when Betty finally said yes to Allen's proposal of marriage i think it must have been a relief for Allen that Betty finally had said yes to his marriage proposal. It was one very very very special easter sunday in nineteen sixty three and why when Betty finally said yes to Allen's marriage proposal it was because of the present that Allen had sent to Betty it was a little white bunny rabbit with earrings attached to it's ears and along with the earrings their was all so a note attached saying please say yes. And when Betty answered that night when Betty picked up the phone when it rang and it was Allen on the other end and Betty answered with yes in stead of hello. And i think Betty and Allen were from a by gone era that when a couple showed their affection in public they held hands in public and their public life was just that public. And their private life was just that private what went on behind closed doors was kept behind closed doors what i means by that is their love life. Allen and Betty is the couple i'm talking about their public life was just that public and their private life was kept private because that is the way they wanted it. And still today when Betty talks about Allen. Betty doesn't talk about their love life their love life is private and that's the way it should be. Betty's and Allen's had a very very very special kind of love and i think it was because they found each other so late in life i think that is why Betty is keeping allen's memory alive. And if you watch some of Betty's older interviews when Allen's name is mention Betty just beams and glows at the mention of Allen's name when allen's name is mention brings a little twinkle to Betty's eyes that if you could really see Betty's eyes would probably see that there was a little twinkle in Betty's eyes that when they were talking about Allen but you can here that little twinkle in Betty's voice when they were talking about Allen, and if watch some of Betty's older interview's when Betty was asked about her first two marriages Betty always refers to the first two marriages as they were rehearsals. When Betty was asked what love is Betty would alaways says it was her late husband Allen Ludden. And it's because Allen was the love of Betty's life and Allen will probably always be the love of Betty's life until the day that Betty passes away.

I can't help but to think that Alan inadvertently gave his wife a zinger for the word pouch and said if her partner had used the clue kangaroo...... he said oh well she wouldn't have gotten the clue anyway. And the shocked look she gave him like, oh really?
