pink does realize that Steven isn't her right? like when a gem gives birth its like doing a "factory reset" on your phone......the "Pink Dimond" that's in Steven isn't the same as it was in pink/rose. hence the line "SHES GONE!!!!!!!" Steven isn't pink and pink isn't Steven They may share a gem but it's like "eye color or hair color" with humans "something can't come from nothing after all" something is needed to be passed down and since gems don't really have a physical form the only thing she/they had to pass down was "Their self" [the gem]. it also explains why Steven CANNOT last long without his gem, it's a part of him like his heart or his lungs he can live for a bit without it but not long. "like a fish without water, they can breath air but not pure air. "
