people who dont understand it for some reason ill explain basiclly the entire lore of httyd or atleast from my pov so this was during the viking times and this happened around 1300 years ago a war started with dragons and vikings many deaths on both sides during. 46nd year of the war i think a new foe appered "the unholy offspring of death and lighting itself" wich is a nightfury/toothless. a child of the cheif stoick the vast hiccup shoots down the night fury and then the next. Day finds it he was ready to kil it but then he saw fear in the nightfurys eyes so then he relases it because he felt the same way when another dragon attacks him. (aka a nightmare). so then he spys on it and sees it lost. A tail in the netting so it makes a tail for it made of hard leather and metal rods he rides it making more things to help him fly also making a cheat sheat to help him fly but then he sees its a distraction so he gets rid of the sheet and fly toothless and then the dragon training comes to play where the teens inculding (astrid hiccup snotlout fishlegs the twins (ruffnut and tuffnut) the dragons in. The training exam are (hookfang a nightmare) (storm fly a deadly nadder) (meatlug a gonkle) (and barf and belch a zipple back) hiccup would find ways to take down dragons without hurting. Like it scratching. Its scales to make it knock out (this does not work on very hostile dragons like red death, scremaing death, death song, whispering death, ETC) after a few days of training astrid finds out of hiccup and toothless. and then hiccup takes her for a flight toothless is mad but when astrid. Says sorry toothless calms down and takes them to a light show. Also finding a red death. Then the red death sees it so then they get out of their (the red death is a dragon that eats other dragons if they dont bring enough food) so then astrid asks to tell stoick but hiccup knows what will happen during the final exam hiccup needs to kill a nightmare but tries to show dragons true colars. But stoick ends up making the nightmare go hostle. Due to loud noise. Toothless nears hiccups scream and rushes to save him. Toothless gets captured after getting distracted. Then hiccup tells stocik on accident about the dragon nest (aka the home of the red death) Then they use toothless to show them where it is. When they get their the other dragons run out. Then the red death comes out they try to fight it (back at berk) The kids get their own dragon astrid flying stromfly snoutlout flying hookfang fishlegs riding meatlug and the twins riding barf and belch. They fly to the nest where hiccup tries to release toothless but failes and gets dragged back to the surface by stocik then stoick comes back to save toothless. Then toothless fights the red death with the help of hiccup. they kill the red death by flaming its mouth before it fires's a blast then the club of the red death hits toothless then hiccup. falls off the back of toothless then falls. toothless saves hiccup but hiccup. lost his leg by toothless chewing it off to get a hold of him (hiccup gets a metal leg to replace it) then. hiccup finds out toothless made the war end.
