No, O here is を not お, both sound the same but を is used for verbs

How did you learn kanji..by rote method or you learnt radicals Waiting for reply

Manoj Lucky I would recommend to learn the rough meanings of about 1000 of the most common kanji (kyouiku kanji like I did or probably better a frequency list) and then learn vocabulary with kanji to create stronger memories and eventually know all jouyou kanji (or even more). Learning the readings ONLY in context of words is the least painful way to memorize them.

(And before you start, make yourself familiar with some of the most common radicals maybe 50-100 of the traditional kanji radicals ordered by frequency.)

u and i doesn't have to be spoken. You could for example say 'desu' instead of 'des'.

Can someone explain how did some verbs became different like iku became iki to become a present tense like do i need to change the last letters to i to make it present tense?

We have to replace u with I and we have to add masu in the stem word to convert it into polite and present tense form, on the other hand we have to replace masu with mashita to convert it into past tense

Prachi Malhotra Like in English when we adjust and conjugate verbs according to tenses and moods . In jp to express negative‚ and capability and so on. Example to explain it further for you like (let's go) Go means iku in (jap) They say it (ikimasu ) not (ikumasu).

It's so confusing when you write ''present tense'' and discuss other tenses. Also writing all the headings in kanji is useless. Anyone that has mastered kanji would already know the basic tenses. ''We use na adjective because... it is na adjective.'' This doesn't make sense.
