Kaku

He was dead set on proving to Jabra that his DF ability isn't useless😂.

Part of the struggle being that he got this devilfruit, like, that morning or something 😂 so he legitimately had no clue what to do with it, he was at Kid Luffy levels of experience and he still made it into a real threat for Zoro.

And both of them involved a Zoan-Fruit user with long necks.

Zoro was exhausted from fighting both Kaku and Jabura while holding Usopp, so Kaku wasn't at a complete disadvantage.

Probably not. Lucci was a little too far ahead just because of his rokushiki. Still, Kaku had a lot of potential indeed. Wait, he's still hanging around. Maybe we can get to see giraffe shenanigans soon enough.

To be fair Kaku got a new devil fruit yes but he's still a trained assassin of the 4 sword style. One can argue that he could have already fought toe to toe with Zoro even before his devil fruit. But he still lost swordsman vs swords+devil fruit new or not.

That’s why I’m very glad Oda didn’t just send these guys to prison or something like that for us to never see them again. They had way more potential than the straw hats as they had no idea what they were able to do themselves. And Lucci just toying with Luffy for the most part. I’m very excited to see what it’ll mean for all of their characters when they see each other again. I also wonder if Sanji could still become as soft and bubbly as he did in this arc.

I think the Pasta Giraffe slipped through the cracks because a bunch of CP9's Rokushiki and Seimei Kikan techniques involved manipulating their bodies in weird ways that normally would be impossible. So in the case of Kaku we didn't attribute his weird anatomy to being a Giraffe, we credited it to being able to control his giraffe body in weird ways due to his Rokushiki training. Queen, and Sasaki's things are credited to them being Dinosaurs aka it's a result of their DF directly

I mean we can see giraffes in real life, but we don’t know if dinosaurs did do anything of the sort like in One Piece until it is proven that they didn’t

Kakus skill and his experience with his devil fruit are two different things, what made Kaku dangerous was his skills, a week or two wouldn't have made much difference. Its like what Lucchi says, it doesn't matter what fruit you eat, its what or how you use that fruit like Rob Lucchi combining all his rokushiki techniques with leopards strength and speed. The biggest advantage the fruit gave kaku was most like his spinning move that amplifies his tempest kick and long arms and legs for better swordsmanship, the two things he excelled in the most in CP agents

He made an incredible amount of progress with his DF in like 2 hours. No wonder he's spoilers: Awakened...

Spoilers: Haki is one thing, its cool but the whole df awakings have really made me disinterested in the powers of df, since you can just do something out of this world or haki level no matter the type of DF if or when you awaken it. Also I thought it was only Lucchi who awakened, did Kaku awaken in the raws?

IMO, this is the reason why Thriller Bark felt so bad. Becuase it is literally packed between Enies Lobby and Impel Down/Marine Ford

Ironically, they were swapped fights to begin with. Zoro was originally supposed to fight Jabra and Sanji was supposed to fight Kaku.
