Anybody remember a guy named Antonio Brown or these two guys: Emmanuel Sanders & Mike Wallace? AB was a 6th round draft pick and both Mike Wallace and Emmanuel Sanders were 3rd round picks. They have ALL been premiere guys on a 53-man roster. We have veterans in CAIII, Van Jefferson, Scotty Miller, & Quez Watkins. Not to mention we drafted Roman Wilson. So we already have several guys who can get open quickly and stretch the field to open up the running game. I think both CAII & Van Jefferson can be Russell's Tyler Lockett (who had 3 consecutive thousand-yard seasons with Russell Wilson). I think Freiermuth will need to improve his blocking abilities. Nonetheless, Pat will have a bigger impact as well as every other player on offense simply because we have a quarterback who can play the position; however, Pat will not be #2 in targets or yards even with the current receiver's room.
@@SteelersAlmighty Arthur has had some average QB's in the past which has made his system make sense. We have WAY too many speedsters to expect our offense to instantly become a TE gold mine. The last time we featured a TE was Eric Green in 1993 who was 58-yards short of 1k...and we were a slightly run-heavy team. Our best WR was Ernie Mills. I don't think we can look at our roster - to include the RBs - and think that it will EVER feature Pat Freiermuth. Muth is good (and will prolly be much better with the exodus of Mitch & Kenny), but he is NO Travis Kelsey or George Kittle...at least not yet.
I don’t see why people are stressing about a WR2. Just the look the Ravens with Mark Andrews, Chiefs with Kelce, Dallas with Ferguson, Vikings when they had Hockenson and was at his peak as the 2nd option. Kittle with the Niners, Browns with Najoku. All use their TEs as the second option and those are usually the more explosive high scoring offenses. Let’s ride!
That’s an option and we covered that. But I don’t we would turn away a solid WR2 opportunity. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t3QFwhZbxn8.htmlsi=Ldo1Piyf4qqIygQb
