@@PatriotWatchUSA there plenty of QB who had great seasons in their mid to late 30s and some in their 40s. Being 35 as QB isnt like being 35 at other positions. Especially in today's NFL. People are acting like he's in his 40s. A lot of people said Rodgers was done as an elite QB, and then he won back to back MVPs at age 37 and 38. Brett farve had one of the best years of his carrer at 40. Peyton Manning had great seasons in his mid to late 30s until his injuries caught up with him the last season and a half of his of his carrer or so. Brees was good into his 40s. Kurt Warner had a resurgence with the cardinals in his mid to late 30s. Warren moon made several pro bowls in his mid 30s to early 40s. I'm sure there's other examples I can't think of right now. The point is your mid 30s doesn't necessarily mean your carrer is over as a QB. A lot of QBs have great seasons at or past russell Wilson's age.

Fair enough. Based on what I’ve seen over the past two years, Russ’s clutch gene hasn’t gone anywhere. Russ could have done at least five of the games the broncos lost in 2023. Payton pulled the plug on him. He was tanking.

The Broncos didn’t threaten him with release over a pay cut. It was over his injury guarantee, which put them at risk of paying Russ $100M for one season if he got injured. They didn’t ask him to take a pay-cut. Furthermore, they asked him to defer that guarantee because they intended to keep him. Russ wanted out! That’s why he refused, and he told the NFLPA on them. Thats why Payton had to put his tanking efforts on hold midseason.

He looks young and rejuvenated. He has a chip on his shoulder. Something to prove. He also has considerable competition in Justin Fields. Arthur Smith taking over as OC for the Steelers will unlock the full capabilities of this offense and highlight the skillset Woison has. The talent they have is ideal for play action and a rugged run game. This is g9nna be fun.

Denver was a lie! That score organization had a structural problem and kept putting band-aids on it. Hiring Hackett as a HC was a really sh!tty move, and Aaron Rodgers knew it. Thats why he didn’t want to go there. Russ is a competitor. He knew Denver wasn’t that great but he thought he could help fix them. He didn’t know his first coach there was a blithering idiot and his second would be a snake who tried to tank. The organization and Peyton Manning lied to Russ to lure him down there, and nobody regrets that trade more than Russ. He went to Denver partially so he could beat Mahomes, and he nearly pulled it off twice in his worst season ever. He definitely outplayed Mahomes in 3 of their 4 meetings while in Denver, which makes him 4 for 5. Yes, his record vs. the Chiefs is now 2-3, but it should be 4-1 or even 5-0. Still, If Russ could do it all over again, I think he goes to Miami or Philly, or stays in Seattle.

Are We as a Steeler Nation Suppossed to Believe That Russ is Worse than Kenny and I Don't Think Kenny is Bad He just needs some time on the sideline like Field's BUT to THINK Russ is Worse than Kenny's Last Year is Delusional. 26 TDs isn't stats of a Washed QB.. My guy, Russ will eat those other players, and Russ’s best years were 2017-2020. He started out 2021 dominating the league until his injury. So, he has it for this decade. @@Wild_D: This is untrue, and people would like him more if he didn’t talk so much during interviews. He talks in circles, tends to be repetitive and use a lot of empty cliches, and then there are the lists… He really thinks he’s killing it in interviews but he’s not. I’m the biggest Russ fan there is, but he just talks too much, and he isn’t very good at it. He sounds almost like a politician. Do you know whom he should emulate? Derek Jeter. In fact, all athletes should emulate Derek Jeter, from the way he handled his bachelor life, the way he dealt with teammates, and the way he interviewed. It was all PERFECT. He kept his private life private, or at least avoided putting everything in people’s faces, spoke authentically and directly without ever being too exuberant or petulant, avoided cliches and lists, and kept things direct. Russ doesn’t understand that some things he says and the way he says them just grates on people nerves! Just once, I would like to hear some authenticity from him. People also get sick of him being phony and pretending that things don’t bother him when we all know they do. He thinks he’s endearing himself to people, but he should know by now that he hasn’t been as good either media as he thinks. In fact, he has mostly been god-awful. People roll their eyes after he speaks because he never gives simple answers to very simple questions, and it’s one reason people have been all over him. Another thing…people have been bullying him. He never responds. At some point, he needs to strike back; otherwise, it just gets worse. People are still dogging him to this day, and honestly, someone is orchestrating a campaign to push him out of the league. He needs to be himself…be a human being! He comes off as phony! I live Russ as a football player. He’s absolutely one of the best and greatest I have ever seen, no cap! But I wouldn’t want to hang out with him off the field if he talks that way to teammates. He needs to quit life-coaching everybody. That’s condescending and patronizing. He needs to quit spewing cliches, trying to butter people up by mentioning their names in interviews (or “kissing babies,” as Sean Payton called it), and quit letting media attack him without responding. He sees himself as being this perfect human being that everybody is going to love…this future billionaire with some perfect family, NFL ownership, and White House aspirations. Almost none of that will happen for him if he doesn’t change.
@DeCurtaRican
@DeCurtaRican 3 месяца назад
@@Wild_D: I agree that JF isn’t very articulate, and that’s sad, but he’s authentic and relatable in how he speaks. A lot of people want JF to win the QB1 spot just to avoid listening to Russ every three days. Some of the people who are team JF don’t even think he’s a better QB.

You’re joking, right?! You clearly know nothing about the NFCw! Russ played in the toughest division in the league for the first 10 years of his career! 😒😏 The NFCw got weakened when Russ left in 2022, the AFCw started poaching players from the NFCw, and a bunch of key injuries happened in that division. That’s why the Seahawks had that inflated 9-8 record. It wasn’t because Russ wasn’t as great as people thought he was; it was because side the rest of the NFCw was depleted by injuries, including to all three opposing starting QBs plus Trey Lance. The NFCw was the class if the NFL before that, and Russ was the top dog in that division. He’s not sweating it! And if you know anything about Russ, it’s that he is always at his best when his competition is toughest. That was even true during his worst season (2022). It’s the mediocre teams Tomlin has to worry about. Russ can sometimes take his foot off the gas. But as far as playing against the AFCn? That’s a dream scenario for Russ.

@DeCurtaRican
@DeCurtaRican 2 месяца назад
@@320swoo4the NFC was the better conference, and the NFCw (i.e., NFC WEST!!!), WHICH I EXPLICITLY MENTIONED above, was the toughest division in the league during the 2010s. Russ dominated that. Furthermore, Russ plays his best football against his stiffest competition, as i also stated. This is supported by the historical record. It’s the reason Russ chose to go to Denver in the first place. He wanted to face Mahomes and Herbert twice a year, and that division should have become the toughest division. Russ knew he was capable of outperforming Mahomes, which he did in 3 of their 4 matchups over the last two years, and in the 2023 season as a whole. Notice how everywhere Russ goes turns into a predicted bloodbath. That’s because Russ is a big reason for that competition. If you don’t u destined the heat Russ is about to bring now that he has a squad, I feel sorry for you.
